Guest guest
Thank you, I'm also a smoking-mom asthmatic. Now I know why I sometimes crave salt. There are some breathing exercises that I read about in a NYC newspaper that children in the Bronx were doing. I don't know exactly what they are, but I remember one of them was (something like) taking a deep breath, holding it, and breathing it out slowly through pursed lips, kind of like using an inhaler without the inhaler. I have used this exercise when desperate, and it does indeed help. I think it increases the capacity of the lungs. > Date: Fri, 05 Jul 2002 21:50:00 +0200 > From: son <hjacobson@...> > Subject: Re:ASTMA > > , > > My parents also exposed me to a lot of smoke when I was a child, and I > had allergic reactions as > well (my father says I wheezed as a young child), developing asthma in my > early twenties, though > usually only in summer. > > Since doing antibiotics for Lyme I have mild asthma throughout winter as > well.
