Guest guest
I got a script for Zyrtec last November but didn't start taking it regularly till a few weeks ago. I only take ONE HALF at nite because a whole one makes me sleep like forever - 13-14 hrs! I'm not sure if it has helped my rosacea (it ahs helped my sinus/allergies) but I am sleeping better and that always helps everything. My skin has been a LOT better since switching to Noritate 2x p day and Oil of Olay Sensitive face wash. The others I tried either made me break out or left me too oily. Sspeaking of oily, I don't realy think I have seb derm because I don't have the flakes but I am so oily on the nose and forehead and my pores have gotten sooo large. Would washing with Nizoral help the oiliness you think? Any other ideas about oiliness and large pores? I just got a sample of Acne Oil Control Gel from Dr. Sy and it helps some, really helps gently get rid of the dead skin, so my skin is very smooth, no more caking makeup. I'm putting it on over a very thin layer of ZINCO. Is that too much a barrier, Dr. Sy? Now on to ZINCO, I love the way it feels and keeps the itchy crazies away all day!!! I dot a small amount on and then blend very gently, then in the daytime I brush on a little green powder and then a little Clinique double Face Powder. I get great coverage. My skin is the best it has been in years thanks to a combination of thing, but THANKS DR SY!!! Now if I could just get rid of the large pores! Guest guest
, IMHO, the size of the pores is partly genetically determined and partly based on sebaceous gland activity. I think if we can somehow reduce the amount of oil that is produced, the pores will naturally shrink to some degree. Of course, figuring out what triggers the amount of oil produced, is no small feat to be sure. From what I've read, sebaceous gland cells that produce the oil, release their contents every 7 to 8 days. (Keep this in mind, as you monitor the effect of foods, etc.) It is further believed that the sebaceous gland's activity is controlled in some manner by the body's autonomic system.
