It throws almost all of us. I had never heard of PF when I was sent to

the pulmonologist. I figured maybe my allergies, maybe asthma, absolute

worst case COPD. I found out there was PF. But, I'm enjoying life with

it, putting nothing off that I really want to do. I would never make

light of it or diminish its impact, but I'm not letting it define me

either.

Hi Charleen, I am so sorry you have this monster in your life. I am 65. was diagnosed 4 years ago this June with ipf.The best advise I can give is don't panic. You still have a good life ahead. This disease is not fun to deal with but deal with it we must. I am on 02 24/7 and sometimes we have to learn by trial and error. This group (Air Family) is the best place to learn. Anything you want to know just ask and you will get an answer.Try not to overload yourself in one week. Let things settle before you get you panic. Life is so good and precious.God is Good to us.
