First day on Prednisone

Today was my first day taking prednisone. It took less than an hour for my blood sugar to spike. I waited 6 hours until it reached 22 (406 in the US) and trotted myself to the ER. I can see that it will be a very long 6 weeks. However, if that is the only side effect, I will consider myself lucky. Diane IPF June 07New Brunswick, Canada
