As I stated in my intro when I first joined, I don't have an " official "

diagnosis yet. I had a chest x-ray last month that showed " diffuse fibrosis

bilaterally " , I am scheduled for pulmonary function tests next week, and had

a high resolution CT scan of the lungs this past Monday. I picked up a copy

of the CT report yesterday, as I don't go back to the pulmonologist for a

few weeks and was anxious to see what it said. The following is the

impression as written by the radiologist:

" Widely scattered small blebs as well as several scattered subpleural or

pleural based nodules bilaterally. This is most prominent at the right lung

base and there appear to be calcifications within a pleural based nodule and

adjacent parenchymal nodule compatible with granulomatous disease. These

findings should be further correlated clinically but are probably related to

old granulomatous disease. Very minimal scattered areas of nondescript

interstitial fibrosis is present. No other evidence of acute disease

however is seen. "

Anyone have any input/guesses as to what this means. I've been trying to

research each item, but not getting very far.

Thank you in advance for any insight :)
