I agree with you about that. A small needle should be used. My veins become iflamed which is why the blood drawing becomes difficult for me. I have a problem with needles, as well as IV's. you can request they use these instead of regular ones. Irene o yours constrict instead?

Since I do blood work at least once a week and I am on Coumadin, I too am multicolored. As the week wears on the bruises turn all different colors. I am truly a work of art. Maybe we could start a new fad..

I am just so glad when there is an IV nurse or phlebotomist to stick me. Regular nurses do not draw blood well. I am a hard to stick gal and they just torture me. I always come out of the hospital looking like a map of the world. My arms were just covered this last time.
