Guest guest
Try not to get too discouraged when these doctors come up empty. It took me over two years to get diagnosed with fibro. and that was with a doctor I had known a long time. Crying in her office had become routine and she knew that was not like me before. Now I'm being tested for Lupus. I don't have my hopes up for a diagnosis although my PCP things it should have been taken seriously before even though I had a negative ANA. I now have a positive ANA, and I'm still not hopeful. You see, I don't care what they call it, just fix it. Actually, if necessary just get the symptoms under control. Without the symptoms we are fairly normal people. No need to apologize for not being here. We all go through that when we aren't feeling well. My prayers and best wishes go out to all those I've noticed, including , , Debi from California, Debra, Debbie J, Lori H, Angie, Tigger, Darlene and Jeanne and all the rest. I know there are more, but I can only scan the messages so well, LOL. To our new members, I am fairly new myself. I bid you all welcome. I've been feeling really cranky, and know part of the reason. I noticed that during certain times my symptoms get crankier than others. I mean, sure, there are symptoms that are always there, but during the month, I don't know if it's just because I'm under forty or what, I have times when the pain just gets unbelievable. I plan to go to the doctor this month to see what it is. I honestly don't know for sure which one it could be, CFS, Fibro or Poly, which it could be any of the three. My maternal grandmother was diagnosed with CFS when she was 40, I'm about two years from there. She was diagnosed with Poly ten years later. She's 90 now. My paternal grandmother also had poly, something I didn't know. Unfortunately she passed away last summer at the age of 84 from misdiagnosed liver cancer. I guess I'll have to ask if mine fits fibro or poly more. I know I have all the symptoms of CFS, save one, without doubt. I don't have all the symptoms of fibro, and have too many to have poly. These are as listed on the arthritis foundation website, of course. If it is true, then perhaps something can be done for me that OTC drugs doesn't manage. I've been using OTC meds and methods for quite a while and they only work so well. Sometimes I wish I had more, but I don't want to become too dependent either. Is this something that concerns others here?
