, Glad to hear you take the time to do something like that. It must be very rewarding. have a piece you created yourself!!

I started making bread after I got sick. It started because I can only eat organic. Food stamps do not cover much and the bread (good bread) unable to find organic. So I had 2 reasons. However I really like it. It gives me a vent. A dust mask takes care of the flour while dry. Use organic flour, organic yeast, organic whatever else, but it is still cheaper than buying it and gives me therapy. Being sedentary not good, so i get to do a little exercise especially with the french baguettes, you have to knead for a while. I was doing the kneading part at night so I would vent and sleep better. It's like the exercise where you ripe paper to vent except I knead doe.

Then we get that added benefit, fresh organic bread, ahhhhhhhhh !!!!!! I added an album you can see my bread and Babies !!

I see you wear the cannula under the mask, How heavy is the Helios ? Can you were it like that out? Attached to your waist? Tell me more !!!!!!!!

God Bless !!!!!

Cannula Bling

I decided that I was tired of wearing this boring cannula. It needed some decoration, so while at Walmart I bought some stick-on rhinestones, and various other "bling." Sunday I wore some blue rhinestones before each ear, and another flower on the hanging down part of the cannula. I also put some flowers on my Marathon liquid oxygen. No one commented!! They probably think I'm crazy.I'm thinking of making a decorated covering for my inside liquid oxygen also. I'm tired of looking at it sitting there reminding me all the time of my condition! Anyone else with more ideas on how to deal with this terrible disease? I'm am getting slowly better after pneumonia, but not fast enough for me.Sherry , Age 64NSIP '98, Bronchiectasis '99PBC '99 No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG. Mayleen,.I like the lacy mask...do you

have a site for it?

In regard to the Helios..it depends on what I'm doing. I wear it on my

waist if i need both hands

.. I sling it over my shoulder for a short walk into a store or I wear

it cross body for a longer walk.

It allows me to be sort of me so i don't care what anyone says I just

weart it!

I hate the puffy noises but I'm still out of the house.

My husband Mike is the bread baker...his sour dough bread is so

good...in fact too good.

We've decided that if he makes bread he has to make small rolls instead

of loaves

.. We were just devouring the entire loaf each time...much too much.

So, we freeze the extreas and bring them out 2 at a time.

I just know that the house smells so good while he's baking.

Mayleen, I don't actually hook the

Helios to the mask.

First I put the Helios on a belt around my waist.

Then I put the cannula on, then the mask, then my glasses!!!!

And then my apron to try to keep the messy clay off my clothes.

I'm basically a mud-person, clay, gardening just as much fun. They are

much

harder to do now , I do less, spend less time each session but I get to

be dirty!!!

It's a miracle I can function at all.

But I love the clay work too much not to do the process .

I cannot afford to get irritated..just so I don't start coughing. The

clay itself especially when wet isn't a big problem.

The dry and fired clay and the dust and then the glazes are the real

trouble.

I have to get new filters for the particulates and the vapors before

class restarts in September.

My Mom sent me so I could

upgrade my mask. So I had to soak this in baking soda for days to

off-gas any residues from it.  Then I disinfected it in GSE for a

couple of days.  I did not react to it today thank God!!!  I have now a

North 7700  silicone, thank God I did not have a problem with it. So,

like I said people run.  Someone asked me if I was going to Mars.  this

is what it looks like:

More like this one

My cartridges are larger because I

need both particle filtration and  multi-gas cartridges.  I need to get

the full face next.  I know I have a problem with my eyes absorbing as

well.  At last I can breathe better.  Even if I look like I am going to

Mars.

Tell me some more how you hook

up the Helios to the masks.  Can I go out hooked up like that or am I

trapped in doors? I  found a website with

the tygon cannula. So, I guess they have those..  I have the tygon

tubing my sister just sent, but no cannula.  Can I hook the tubing

straight to the masks from the helios?  Can you tell me more please?

This one can be used with a

compact par system which suuplies air you attach the system to your

waist.  However since I have a ILS as well is why I am having trouble

understanding how to do all this.  It is not the same to get air and

oxygen right?

Mayleen, I wear one of these mask

to work on my pottery. It's rather interesting to put one on,( it's

really hot underneath)

adjust the cannula from the Helios that I put around my waist and then

put my glasses on too.

Working on the potters wheel has been a challenge at best. I've decided

that hand building is less complicated

at least I don't have to try to stay upright on the seat of the potters

wheel

..

Sherry,  Good Idea !!!  Make light of it.  I wear a

mask to go out.  Everyone runs from me like a hve a disease.  Oh I do.

Ha Ha  but it is not contagious so why are they running???  Last masks

I got it has a flower.  Now they say that's a pretty mask, and then the

others still run for their lives..  Once this man said to his son,

Watch get out of the way of the crazy lady!!!    I told him that;s

right you better move.  People are just rude, cruel. They do not think

of us or how we feel. However when someone does stop and ask me what is

wrong I give them information they can use. On the run of course.  This

only happens when I do groceries other than that I cannot go anywhere

really because my masks are in adequate.  I need to upgrade to real

crazy lady style.

Like the kind here:   Let's

see what they say now!!  I think I will wear a poster to go with it.

Like a Tee shirt with a message.
