Here I am at 1:00am and can't sleep. Sleepless in Illinois. LOL I know what you mean when you say you could eat up your grandkids. You will appreciate this. The oldest of my granddaugher called me this evening (she is 4) and said "Gramma, gramma, I read the word summer". I was so excited. I was just jumping up and down. My son said he was shocked. K. My 2 1/2 year old Darah gets on

the phone and says" Night Night MomMom and I want to talk to PopPop!"

He gets on the phone...Night Night Pop Pop and I want to talk to Mom

Mom again!" We were laughing so hard we were in tears!

The bedtime ritual is getting out of hand!

BTW..her favorite bedtime books are Harry the Dirty Dog and Lyle Lyle

too had a ritual about bed time, until one night she said she wanted to talk to papa. He got on and she started jabbering away. He is really hard of hearing and couldn't understand a word she was saying. So he said, "Let me talk to your mom". She said "Oh papa you are so funny", and she would laugh. This went on for at least 5 minutes and he couldn't get her to hand the phone over, and she was just jabbering away and laughing. Her parents thought she was having a funny conversation because she was laughing so hard and saying, "You are silly papa". They finally made her hand the phone over only to learn it was a gigantic stall tactic. That ended the bedtime ritual. They are just so funny. She can just crack me up. We are so blessed aren't we?
