Irene, OHHHH see your veins collapse, mine are inflamed, they reject the fluid as a result of the larger needle, too much at once. That is why I need to little baby needle. In the hospital before I was this severe, oh my, they just had to change it more than once a day. When I asked for baby needle which is what I am to have she said we do not have those. I had bruises and swelling, they ruined so many veins, not funny. I would get big balls of swelling. Like in phlebitis. (maybe mispelled)

You know what is best for you with your condition sometimes better than them. You should get what you need. I am sorry they hurt you so. I hope this contnues to work for you.

God Bless !!

Zena,

Since I do blood work at least once a week and I am on Coumadin, I too am multicolored. As the week wears on the bruises turn all different colors. I am truly a work of art. Maybe we could start a new fad..

I am just so glad when there is an IV nurse or phlebotomist to stick me. Regular nurses do not draw blood well. I am a hard to stick gal and they just torture me. I always come out of the hospital looking like a map of the world. My arms were just covered this last time.
