Hi,I'm 16 years old and I have undergone jaw surgery this past June.

I had a severe underbite and had to have both my top, and bottom jaws

moved and also my chin reconstructed and moved. The bottom jaw was

moved back and the top forward. The surgery lasted almost 8 hours! I

was in the hospital for 4 days and was wired shut for 7 weeks. It was

very hard to go through but i did! Before my surgery nobody really

could tell anything was wrong or that I even needed the surgery, but

my bite was completely off. After the surgery I cant even tell you

how many compliments i got. I was completely amazed at how diff. i

look (in a good way!!). My self confidence has increased so much

since the surgery and I am so glad that I chose to go and do this. I

went back to school to start my senior year and some people didnt

even recognize me! It was so funny. If anyone has any questions at
