Best oil to deep fry in?

If you are going to deep fry, coconut oil, palm oil, or tallow are

the best choices.

Deep frying doesn't sound like a Nourishing Tradition to me. I have seen

cautions about heating any fat.

I agree completely. However, if you are going to deep fry, it should be

with one of those three highly saturated fats to minimize the creation of

harmful breakdown products. I figure that deep fried food falls into the

same category as sweetened desserts: not physically healthy, but life is

about pleasure too not just nutrition...

I agree - I can't wait for the day when fast food restaurants start

frying in lard again.
