-- Got this info from The Computer Lady about the Klez virus

I just thought you should know this info in case you get an email from me and your computer says it is infected. I do have Norton Antivirus.

Dear Reader,I don't usually spend a lot of time talking about specific viruses, but the Klez virus is certainly getting my attention! Not only am Igetting dozens of infected e-mails daily, but I frequently getmessages saying that I have sent infected messages to others. I keeprunning virus scans on my system and it comes up clean, so I wonderedhow can I appear to be sending infected messages? With a little research online, I found the answer. When the klez virussends out mail from a computer, it randomly takes an address out ofthe address book and makes it look like the e-mail came from thataddress. You can read about the klez virus at these two websites.http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,1282,52055,00.htmlhttp://www.europe.f-secure.com/v-descs/klez.shtmlHave a great week,~There are no strangers here... Yes, I've checked it all and I am covered. Definitions are updated. So I guess I can quit being scared then. Thanks a lot.

It's not harmful unless you open the attachment. The only reason it showed that you were "sending" it, is because someone else had you in their address book, and it picked your name as the "from" line.

Viruses are not only attachments, that is why you shouldn't open anything you don't know who its from. And even with attachments, only open it if you are expecting it.

Hope this helps!

So, is this stupid thing harmful??? If my Norton doesn't show it on my computer, I don't understand how The Elegant could show up. Are viruses only attachments?

Sorry for all the questions. I am not very good with computer stuff.
