Guest guest
About this white stuff on the tongue: I was treated for a time for Candida based upon the Dr.s eyeballing the stuff. Later when I was tested the stuff was found not to be Candida. I am wondering whether the Candida that some of you have tested positive for has been cured and that the white stuff is something else. The reason I question this: 1. If my dentist is right and this stuff is just mucogenous (thick) saliva, the nystatin or diflucan may just be washing the saliva off and there is no Candida. 2. I believe I read somewhere that some anti yeast medication can affect mycoplasma. The stuff may not be yeast but may be affected by the anityeast meds. 3. My best friend from childhood, who has symptoms similar to RP has this stuff as does my wife and both were treated for candida. This stuff could be a marker that may help in diagnosis and treatment. For those of you who take nystatin etc, if you could be retested next time you go in, we could see if there really is a pattern that affects us all. If it is not Candida it may give a clue. For example, there is a mycoplasma that lives in salivary glands.
