Guest guest
Well Joanne after being in school all day I could not wait to leave to light up. My lungs hurt! And the same thing happened when I quit so I needed the patch. It really helped physically. Oh they made me itch and such but I needed those things. I used full strength the first week, then I cut them in half and then in quarters and then in eighths. I did not start gaining weight until I went off the patch.Mind you though I was cheating a lot then. sticking everything as a substitute in my mouth. Also I had plastic tubing that I cut up in 3 inch lengths and I chewed the heck out of those things. Mine came from kids drinking bottles but you can buy it in the pet dept.,. for a fish tank. There e are some news groups that you can join and a couple of stop smoking lists. I did not find them very friendly and I am a friendly person. Also some times those people got very crabby. Also for me and for most people it is not a good idea to have just one puff or cigarette. I have tried that lots and it does not work. You must not cheat!! Although I did enjoy the second hand smoke for quite awhile. And there is a neat little free program you can down load, only takes a minute or two called silk quit. www.silkquit.com It tells you how many you did not smoke and the money you saved and the time that you have added on to your life. I will be here for you. Or you can write to me personally. Here if it is not low carb we try to remember to put OT on the subject line. Off topic. I set a date way ahead of time too and stuck it. And no excuses after. An excuse is just that. Get planning Norma.
