Normal circadian variation of temp around 98.6?

What is the normal range of variation in body temp around the

average of 98.6 (F, 37C)? A couple of times, I've gotten a temp that

(I think, possibly inaccurate thermometer) that was 98.7 or even

98.9. It never averages across a day to anything that high ('s

method of averaging +3,+6,+9), and if I include the morning temp

(right after I get up - not basal but perhaps close), it's even lower.
