Guest guest
>I simply can't tolerate wearing much other than cotton, particularly >not nylon, polyester, etc. I get itchy, rashy, I do the same thing. I was always told this is from my candida problem. Is this true? Or are we really not supposed to wear these artificial fibers. I have noticed my daughters have the same problem sometimes I will see a rash on their arms after wearing a sweatshirt all day. Sorry I do not have a source for mens socks. I only purchase womens... Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: Idol Sent: Sunday, March 03, 2002 7:37 PM Subject: Slightly OT: Cotton socks This certainly isn't a nutrition issue, but it does pertain to native and traditional lifestyle and health issues, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's easy enough to find cotton shirts and pants and whatnot, but it's become all but impossible to find 100% cotton athletic socks. (I don't mean tube socks, but thick white cotton socks, which are my normal everyday wear.) It used to be I could get 96% cotton socks, and those were pretty good, but now the best I've been able to find, even online, is 88%, and that's just not good enough. My feet aren't happy. Can anyone point me to a source of king size all-cotton socks? If the price isn't ridiculous and the quality is high enough I'd even consider a custom shop or other options like that. TIA, -

I've noticed that my problems with polyester and whatnot are worse and hit faster when my health is worse, but I've never been able to wear them for any length of time. I've also known women who are fine as long as they wear cotton underwear but get yeast infections from wearing artificial fibers. I don't think we're meant to wear plastic. Cotton, leather, maybe a couple other natural fabrics. I suspect the only difference is in how much of a problem they cause and how fast it crops up. -
