Guest guest
Hi , I also have gaps where my molars are supposed to line up on on side. My ortho is fixing this by the use of bands that I am supposed to be wearing 24/7...they are supposed to close the gap.I was very much aware of the gap before surgery cause I saw the study models, before & after. Unfortunately there was no other way to align my jaws correctly... I anticipate maybe getting new crowns after the braces come off if my bite isn't entirely satisfactory because as it stands now, I have real trouble chewing due to the gap... On the othe side my molars are lined up pretty well but I don't think they connect quite as tightly as they should so I'm will to get new crowns there as well if needed (my two dental insurance policies co-pay to 100%). Keep us posted. (surgery was June 26, 02) > I had upper moved forward and expanded 2 weeks ago. The wires came > off one week later. I now have a gap in my bite more in my left > molar area. Is this common and how does the fix work? > thanks in advance. > Robc
