Guest guest
Years ago I was in an accident and had to have plastic surgery. My surgeon had me bathe and wash my hair in Phisohex. And if he thought it was okay, I'm sure it was. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, was pickier than that man. Just my opinion, of course. Guest guest
Rob You are not alone. My husband is extremely tired most days. As for flu-like symptoms, he has had a couple of bouts with fever, chills, etc. which the doc has treated with antibiotics. In both cases, they thought the stent might have been causing an infection. Hope you're doing well otherwise. Ann > Hello everyone, > I have had panc for about 5 years now. thank God my pain episodes are > getting shorter and less severe. When will I ever feel back to normal??? Geez, you are really going through a lot! Anybody would be depressed with all that has happened to you. Do you feel like the problem regarding the crookedness of your face has been resolved? As for the bite shifting, do you mean that it opened up? What sort of surgery did you have? My daughter had hers open up (after upper, lower, and genioplasty for class II), so the ortho put elastics on immediately and it closed. However, when she went to see the surgeon, he said that tongue thrust problems can cause the bite to shift. The tongue is a very powerful muscle, and a person swallows between 600-2000 times/day. If the tongue is pushing on the teeth, it can cause everything to start moving. As a result, my daughter had a couple of months of physical therapy to address the problem. She had to learn to swallow differently and to hold her tongue correctly when at rest. It was very successful. Also, she had previously seen a physical therapist to help her open wider, too. Could that perhaps help with your pain and chewing? You might want to look into it, especially if you have insurance that will cover it. Start getting some answers. I wish you better luck with your recovery. Sue in MI

My RNY surgeon told me I was not going to loose much more weight. right now the only bad thing is the trunk of my body. my thighs, legs, and arms are normal. my face is normal not alot of loose skin there. It is just my big belly. I went to Dr. Zaydon, Dr. Vazquez, and Dr. Dreidre Marshall. The only one I really liked was Marshall. She is a woman and has performed plastic surgery on after gastric bypass surgery patients. She also is an expert on flaps and breast reconstruction. Took me 3 months to get an appointment and waited 4 hrs. in her office.
Guest guest
Thanks so much for your reply. We did see the doc yesterday and he put her on prednisone. I am definitely trusting in God but sometimes it gets so hard to deal with seeing her so thin. She has taken two doses of the prednisone so far and says she actually feels better already. I am just praying this works for her. Thanks again for the encouragement.Trusting in Him,From: ekerwien To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2009 1:41:00 AMSubject: Re: Help If something is life threatening, I would no doubt take the drugs for short term use and then transition to SCD while you take your daughter off the drugs. My son never had a stricture so I don't know how serious it can be (although it sounds urgent), but he was loosing a lot of weight and his digestive tract needed a break (and he had acute pancreatitis, so he wasn't going to eat much of anything anyway). We spent a week in the hospital, had lots of drugs, and I don't regret it because it got him back on "his feet" so he could transition to the diet and then got him off of the prednisone. Hope that helps. Best wishes, a www.comfybelly. com
