Guest guest
The US is the same way. I confirmed this with my state Attorney General before I started ordering years ago. You can ship from other countries into the US on a lot of meds without a prescription up to a 3 month supply. My last order I had to sign something when I picked up the package after they questioned me on what it was (Cytomel) and they had a special thing they did for meds. I was worried for a bit but had my speech all prepared about how legally I can get a 3 month's supply, but then they just had me sign and turn it over. Now, as far as what constitutes a " three month supply " , I imagine that depends on the individual and how much they need in their dosage. Cheri -----Original Message----- Is it? I really did not know that and have had this worry at the back of my mind that I could get into trouble if Customs opened my meds en route. Phew! Why did I not ask before, I have been doing my adrenals no favours by keeping this concern to myself! BUT, I have to tick a box, on the supplier's website, stating I am under the supervision of a loca doctor with the use of these meds. Is that not something to be concerned about either? Ta. Mo t is LEGAL for us to import a 3 month supply providing it is for personal use .
Guest guest
:inda I gave him My bracelet a couple of days ago and just wrote on a piece of card - adrenal insufficiency, 20 mgs Isocort. I told him to get the piece of card typed up and laminated when he got back to college. And I have just shown him your post. It did not occur to him for a second to show the officer his bracelet, I suppose because he he so unused to wearing it, he just forgot in the shock of the arrest. I don't think either of us can afford to pay to join this organisation but certainly there are plenty of benefits to having this kind of I.D. Guest guest
No, the company is only doing that to protect themselves. Contact me privately and I will point you to a link where it is clearly shown Lynda Re: Isocort and the police visit.......... > > So not ACTUALLY having a local doctor supervising the use of the > meds, this is not a problem Lynda? > > Mo >

Did you see my other post to you Val. Sorry to pester but I really need to lay things out for my son about the need for him to take his Isocort in the morning (when his cortisol is below range) rather than midday when he usually gets up. Guest guest
O Mo, Medic Alert will *give* you and him the basic bracelet. They even gave me a scholorship one year when I didn't have money for the membership. It's worth a try, for you and your dear son's life. Guest guest
Maybe it is an age thing Val, they just lookied like ignorant rookie police to me. When I was 21 I would have been less confident as a person and more frightened of them I suppose. They were just KIDS! LOL Mo > > LOL me too ! That's why I would have been shaking in my boots! Guest guest
It might help to keep things in their original containers. I save old bottles to use since I obviously don't want to take my entire drug dose along with me in our Florida heat. Pills in a plastic bag could be anything while pills in a container with a brand name on it look a whole lot less suspicious. Guest guest
It is true and something that has to be borne in mind. Certainly if you are 21! I use a container with a buzzer that i set for different times or soemtimes just stick a few pills in my pocket. But then I am 59 and not likely to be pulled up by the police. As I am such a sweet little old lasy you understand Mo Pills in a plastic bag could be anything while pills in a container with a brand name on it look a whole lot less suspicious Re: Isocort and the police visit..........
