Guest guest
Does true tree nuts exclude hazelnuts as they're almost a short, fast maturing bush tree? I like to eat local, all the local wild species are destroyed and we've planted hazelnut so we don't have to wait 10 plus years for a harvest. Guest guest
I really just meant nuts...not peanuts. I also did some more checking and found that it was a useless distinction. Peanuts contain plenty of boron too. I thought I remembered reading that peanuts weren't good sources of boron, but that's apparently not the case. Hazelnuts appear to be particularly good sources. I've found them mentioned in connection with boron in a couple of places. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of data for boron yet since it was only fairly recently discovered to be essential. The foods I found that are supposedly good sources of boron are nuts, peanuts, cheese, sardines, salmon, dark leafy vegetables, and sesame seeds. Sorry for the confusion!
