Guest guest
Naffy the MINUTE I go too high on Cytomel my temps go to 99 degrees. TAHT same day. I htink if your temps are nbto high you can;t be MUCH hyper. But I can see this excess thyroid causing a detox reaciton. Thyroid is responsible for at least some of the body's ability to throw off toxins, an if it got suddenly too much thyroid it oculd speed this up theoretically. Have your tmps lowered since lowering the Cytomel? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I hope you find something to help. I had hives first time for 3 months. 2rd time 6 months. I just got over them. Two weeks hive free. I don't know what starts the hives or how/what I did to get the hives to stop. I have not done any thing different with food, vit, RX's. etc. Barbara in TX nafoel wrote: I would appreciate anyone's comments on this. As some of you know I have been suffering a severe hives attack for one week now. I cannot relate the breakout to anything right now...,I know that takes time and patience. But I know my body, and I just cannot shake the idea that is has something to do with my thyroid. Several internet articles also relate hyper to hives, but don't say why or wherefores. In the meantime, I am entertaining the idea that I may have gone hyperthryoid, and since hyper accelerates all the systems in the body, it could have accelerated my immune system to dump this enormous amount of histamine into my system. Does this make sense to anyone? My last labs show hyper....ft3 of 9 with 5 being high range. Yet, and this is a big yet, I FELT FINE, temps were 98.6 and didn't have major things going on, a little hand tremor. I was reluctant to lower Cytomel because I knew my temps would go down. Dumb right? I had posted a long time ago asking what was more important: labs or symptoms? Don't remember any responses, but for right now, I'm thinking maybe I should get off the cytomel for a while? Should labs be the major marker here and screaming at me that I'm hyper....even tho I didn't feel it before? Since last week, I've lowered it by half, but now, and this could be due to sooooo many things going on, and the meds I'm taking now...but I'm getting strong heart palps and anxiety...which also reflect hyper. To top it off....this atarax I'm taking has me zombie and I'm not even sure if I'm making any sense on this post. My hubbie has already noticed me talking with slurs and getting words backwards and such....so sorry if this is a mess! Please if anyone has any ideas that can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks Naffy
Guest guest
They've lowered .2. Don't have the final average for today, but they seem to be where they normally are, if slightly lower. If it were not hyper, but a Hashi's attack, would taking Cytomel be harming mme? Am trying to think of everything here. Guest guest
Hi Barb...were yoour attacks mild? I can't imagine having this for one more day. If I don't take the meds right on time, I'm in a complete total body cover up of hives and itching. I haven't left the house in a week except for dr./er room. What did you take as far as antihistamines...did yours itch intensely? Are you on Cytomel? Thanks Naffy > I would appreciate anyone's comments on this. Guest guest
Hi, Do you have TPO antibodies? When I have an antibody attack, I tend to get hives on my wrist and chest. The heart palps and anxiety sound more like low adrenals. When I was hyper, I never had an panic attack without my temp being at 99 or above. The word slurring and slow brain (for lack of a better description are things I experience when hypo. Wish I could help more.
Guest guest
I've always tested negative for antibodies, but I know that that can change. I don't know how I can be low cortisol with those injections I got! The word slurring is because I am doped up with the atarax. I don't normally slur my words...unless I've had a few margaritas!! LOL Thanks for the thoughts, Naffy > > Hi, > Do you have TPO antibodies? When I have an antibody attack, I tend to get hives on my wrist and chest. Guest guest
If a Hashi attack the Cytomel would not cause harm but lower TSH which should lower the antibody attack. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
So anything that lowers the tsh would stave off a hashi's attack Val? Then I don't think it could have been a hashi's attack since my tsh is wayyyy below zero and have been on Ctyomel since August. I'm still leaning towards t3 toxicity....but don't know for sure.
