Guest guest
That is a good idea. I have gone into glycemic fits before when I was out doing errands. MANY times I have had to grab something off the shelves in a store and it immediately. Never had that until my adrenals crashed so badly. I used to have a diabetic who worked for me and we always knew when he was ready to have a glycemic attack (that's what I call them) because the normally pleasant guy would get really rude and belligerent so we always had to have a healthy sugar source on hand. It was scary the first time it happened because I didn't know his medical history and he felt bad because he started being really abusive and calling me and others names. When he got his sugar balance back he apologized and told us about his medical condition. I have had to deal with similar situations with people with drug dependencies. I tell you, my job became more of a counselor and nurse than manager in those years, lol. Try having to tell a mother you work with that you have to fire her son because he is back on drugs again and can't get his work done. Guest guest
They have keychains that are pill cylinders where you can carry your meds right on your keychain. I just got one and quite like it. I was only $1 at my local grocery story but I have seen the highend ones for $3. I keep my isocort in there and will add my Cynomel when I start taking it. Cheri -----Original Message----- I'm literally carrying a shaving kit bag with all of my meds, thermometers, sea salt, and protein bars so that I'm not without any of that stuff wherever I am. I feel like a full-time patient, but I really don't dare let myself get too hungry anymore, or go without HC so there it is. I'm going to order a glucose tester too b/c mine has to be way off and I need more data to figure out what to do about getting enough cortisol in me. . Guest guest
i feel that way too. If I dont have munchies on hand wherever Im at, or bread to make a piece of toast, anxiety sworms over me almost... Its that force of habit thing-our brains are use to it, and when you take that away, you flip! Kind of like that quit smoking commercial. I thought I was weird for thinking that way. and like some crazy thing is going to happen if I don't eat a handful of nuts or whatever. So I'm wondering what you guys know about blood sugar causing problems taking and tolerating thyroid hormone because I still don't get the connection. > > Thanks, > > >

Guest guest
Well, , you are talking to the queen of hypoglycemia here. I am having a terrible time with it and I know it is related to low cortisol and mixed up thyroid. I don't have any great advise, but do take care. When I first developed adrenal exhaustion and couldn't get help, I ordered and was taking prednisolone, 5 mgs. per day and then dropped to 2.5. Then I got in with the alterntive MD and he prescribed Cortef and put me on Thyrolar. I remember I didn't switch to the Cortef for quite awhile and while I was on prednisolone, I was able to take 1/2 grain of thyrolar per day without getting these awful reactions. Maybe the HC isn't strong enough for me now to tolerate thyroid. Also, regarding what Lowe said to me, I have been wondering about my sugar lately because I notice that I get a lot of mood swings and symptoms if I don't eat something every couple of horus and I start feeling weak, dizzy and like some crazy thing is going to happen if I don't eat a handful of nuts or whatever.
