Guest guest
: here. Unfortunately I can't blame Prednisone for my reactions. I am not presently on it and have only had to take it when I got nuked from bug spray. Was able to take for a couple days and then go right off. I'm afraid my mental status can't be blamed on that (darn it). Hopefully with time I will be able to overcome this but truly I believe my personal relationship with God is so strong it can withstand anything. Church helps, but I really believe it is how I live each day and treat others that is the most important to God. I will consider the St. 's wart. I have read some about it and probably do need some type of emotional buster right now. Hate to go on any more meds but realize they do have a place for most of us. I do know that when I do surgery counseling the surgical facilities want patients to stop taking St. 's wart a few weeks before surgery. Also advise those on Gingo Biloba and other vitamins and herbs to stop also. Will bring home the information from the surgery centers and post for everyone. Some of the herbs and vitamins affect the way anesthesia works, thins blood etc. This will be good for everyone to know. This is new information from surgery centers so will be happy to pass it on to everyone. Thanks for the advise . Really appreciate this group and all the valuable input from everybody. Hopefully the St. 's Wart will stop some of the tears! I cry not only at sad things but also at happy things too. Oh well, guess I'm just a wimp. Of course, I've never been able to watch a Hallmark commercial without crying and Lassie Come Home about did me in. Hope everyone has a good Monday! I was starting to get weepy, too, and doc suggested I try St. 's Wort. I worked wonders. Started with three capsules (500 mg) a day, then went down to two as I decreased prednisone. Am going to try a week or two without it now and see if there is any return of the quick tears. H. hi and welcome. maybe we can come up with answers that our doctors can't
