Guest guest
, There are two supplements you might try that will help you to feel a lot warmer. One is niacin it increases the blood flow, the other is lots of VC. Last summer was sleeping under a sleeping bag, two sheets and a blanket had to add an electric blanket and still shook. Although have been taking vitamin C for some time, for my adrenals started to take 9,000 IU's a day. Now sleep under a sheet and the electric blanket with the heat turned off. Have congestive heart failure therefore it is believed best to sleep without artificial heat helps one to breath easier. Vitamin C regulates the internal thermostatic mechanism to produce more body heat. Dr. Schonbam, assistant professor of pharmacology at the University of Toronto believes that when ascorbic acid is in short supply, a certain enzyme which, through an intricate pattern of activity, encourages full circulation of the blood, may not be able to do its works properly and, according to Dr. Schonbaum, this could account for some of the circulation disturbances people suffer in a cold climate. (1973) Some think Vitamin C can be to our bodies what antifreeze is to your car. Dr. Lousi- Dugal of University of Ottawa ls New York Academy of Science (April 21, 1961) it is possible that the beneficial effects of V C may be due, at least in part, to its action on the precursors of particular heat-raising hormones. Dr Dugal reported " the both exposure to cold and vitamin C administration accelerate the metabolism of tyrosine and phenylalanine, precursors of thyroid and medullary hormones. " From: Gikas ) I've been taking my temps all morning every hour and they are 98.- 98.8. Why am I so cold if my body temps are normal? What else can cause this?
