Guest guest
Hi Kathy: As a follow-up to my earlier email, I found Minocin Brand for $149.00 for 99 capsules at www.candrugstore.com. Once on their site, do a Drug Search to find Minocin. They list not only generic but Brand Name pricing. They also have a toll free number; and I would call first to determine the manufacturer for the Minocin Capsules before you place an order. Take care. Guest guest
Hi Diane, Thank you so much for the information below. I started taking minocin a month ago but don't know how long my insurance company will continue to pay for the brand rather than generic. If they want to force me to start taking the generic I would like to know my options. The price for the brand in Canada you note below is about what I pay here in the US after insurance. I was still shocked that with insurance it cost me so much for the medicine but praise God I have insurance. Thanks again, Kathy > rheumatic > From: springobd@... > Date: Wed, 18 Feb 2009 08:30:51 -0800 > Subject: Re: rheumatic Minocin from Canada > > Hi Kathy: > > As a follow-up to my earlier email, I found Minocin Brand for $149.00 for 99 capsules at www.candrugstore.com. Guest guest
try this place...I just ran across it in a search...looks like they have it all with no RX required (sometimes they have a Dr on staff that writes your RX to stay legal) http://www.overclinic.com/product/Minocycline/ they also have Doxycycline tabs which I am using successfully (I use a generic brand tablet from , by prescription from my MD) good luck! > > > >From: Cooky Stonkey <<mailto:cookee1%40comcast.net>cookee1@...> > >Subject: RE: rheumatic To Gail > ><mailto:rheumatic%40>rheumatic > >Date: Monday, May 18, 2009, 2:09 PM > > > >Sorry this took so long. Guest guest
your generic comparison site - GREAT WEBSITE!!! It's about time someone started keeping track of which brands work and which do not. I take doxycycline. The TABLETS work fantastically. By contrast, the 100mg CAPSULES by WESTWARD created a resurgence of flare-ups and horrid joint problems, eventually making me almost ready for a wheelchair (in 5 months of taking that brand).(I had switched to save money, using my insurance co's online drug provider) I finally decided to switch back to the brand tablets and immediately, albeit very slowly, began to return to a full and normal existance. I have RA, but right now, it does not have me! The Doxy keeps it in remission. I had started with minocycline (not sure the brand) but after 6 mos, despite terrific success in totally reversing all physical symptoms, I started having other issues with the minocycline (joint problems, but not RA joint problems). Thus the switch to Doxycycline which has worked just great. Overall been battling this thing since summer 2006. Interestingly, a switch to the non generic form of Doxy, Vibramicin, did not show any improvement. Only the generic brand was able to reduce, and finally eliminate, the RA joint problems. Happy, happy, happy, and keeping my fingers crossed! Guest guest
The website below only lists minocycline, not brand name Minocin. They do not list the manufacturer. They are also more expensive than many Canadian pharmacies who sell brand name Minocin -- which is always more expensive than generic minocycline. Finally, I would be suspicious of an seller that does not require a prescription.
