Guest guest
I think the key point is the power of the mind-body connection. There is more and more research showing the huge difference a positive attitude has in healing, in dealing with pain and in coping day to day for people with chronic illnesses. The mind (thoughts and feelings) affects chemical changes in our bodies such as the release of endorphins. A good book to read is by Dr. Herbert Benson and I think the title is Remembered Wellness. He did pioneer work in this area with heart patients. rheumatic OT: Emotions affect your genes > rheumatic <rheumatic > > > > > > > > > > > > Emotions affect your genes: Dr. Wayne Dyer & Dr. Bruce Lipton > > discuss the body's ability to heal itself and how genes and DNA > > are affected by emotions and attitudes. > > > > > > > > > > > > At the end of this video there are several other video links, > > all on related topics. > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
The Dr. Dyer referred to in the link is the following man: WAYNE W. DYER, PH.D., is an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development. He's the author of over 30 books, has created many audio programs and videos, and has appeared on thousands of television and radio shows. His books Manifest Your Destiny, The Power of Intention, , Change you Thoughts--Change your Life, etc.. Dyer holds a Doctorate in Educational Counseling from Wayne State University and was an associate professor at St. 's University in New York. Dr. Wayne Dyer is affectionately called the " father of motivation " by his fans. Despite his childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer has overcome many obstacles to make his dreams come true. Today he spends much of his time showing others how to do the same. rheumatic OT: Emotions affect your genes > rheumatic <rheumatic <mailto:rheumatic%40> > > > > > > > > > > > > Emotions affect your genes: Dr. Wayne Dyer & Dr. Bruce Lipton > > discuss the body's ability to heal itself and how genes and DNA > > are affected by emotions and attitudes. > > > > > > > > > > > > At the end of this video there are several other video links, > > all on related topics. > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Thank you so much for that video. I had a wonderful holiday. Hope you all had a happy holiday, too. Wishing you all the very best for the New Year. Finally got my computer back after all the kids went home and the house is quiet once again, so I sat down to relax.  Watching the video confirmed my belief that the body was made to heal itself, but needs a little help from its' owner. Meaning that if we don't have bad habits that destroy us, and we have positive healthy thoughts, our chances of recovery are so much stronger.  Long before I was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma, which I was told was terminal and in my case I only had months to live, I remember reading about Lance Armstrong who was riddled with cancer and also told he had a short time left in this world. He thought positively and got well. And went on to win the Tour de France, I believe it was 7 times.  Well, I immediately thought about him and refused the toxic therapy my then so called specialist docs had suggested and went on the internet in search of alternate medicine. I found an angel who told me about the Antibiotic Potocol I read all the literature and within a month I was on Minocin. Later on I added stronger antibiotics. Five years later I was in remission. The doc I saw recently who finds it difficult to digest the A/P therapy said that I must have gone into spontaneous remmission, The fact is that I am in remission. I know one thing for sure and that is that I never once doubted the antibiotic therapy would not work. I believed so hard that it would work. Call it what you will, but I am in remission because I took the A/P, and believed that I would be cured. I also put aside from my mind that I was sick and thought only that what I was doing was going to make me live and we became volunteers. Focusing on others less fortunate than ourselves was a key factor in our healing. You see my husband was also healing from Lupus.  So when I saw the video, I wholeheatedly agreed. Believe that you can and you will and then focus on the life your are living at the moment, making the most of it. Even if you are in a wheelchair, you can still do a lot with the internet & phone.  Now to the person who wants so badly to be removed from this site, you must remove yourself. Read the instructions. If you are having difficulty, press the delete button. That is what it is there for. You are not being forced to read anything you don't want to. Take the time to figure it out, follow the instructions and you will be off site.  To the rest of us on board, Have an exciting New Year as we all go along our journey. Life is a series of ups & down. We seem to learn more when we are in the downward spirals so ride along and enjoy the ride. Life is so good!~~~~Love, peace and Joy to all.~~~~Dolores From: mannasal@... <mannasal@...> Subject: Re: rheumatic OT: Emotions affect your genes rheumatic Date: Saturday, January 1, 2011, 11:47 AM  A LOT MORE PAIN FREE IN 2011!!!!!!!!!
