So started LDN last week. Immediately helped my cough and my Raynauds!! I'm so thrilled. Found I could not sleep so read several articles about taking it during the day. Guest guest
You should take LDN at night between 10 pm-3 am. go to this link and read why LDN should be taken at night. sleep disturbance will go away in one or two weeks. if no, you can start from lower dose like 2 mg a night and gradually doses up to 4.5 mg.  http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/ soheila    From: Sandy Ball Decker <sandykayball@...> Subject: rheumatic for those who use LDN rheumatic Date: Monday, March 29, 2010, 10:19 AM  My Rheumie agreed to prescribe LDN. Guest guest
Are rheumys open to LDN? I am on Enbrel, Methotrexate and prednisone, would I have to get off all of these before trying? Guest guest
Some may be open to LDN, but someone more knowledgeable may answer the question about taking it with Enbrel, Methro etc. I am not on any of these meds, I am on antibiotics and it works well with them. Guest guest
I am also looking for a dr. in Virginia, land or Washington DC that will treat immune disorders with LDN. Can anyone help me out? I am currently seeing a rheumy who treats w/ antibiotics and alternative medicine but it cost me between $300 and $600 for an office visit with her; almost $200 for an office visit with one of her partners; and about $250 for the alternative IV heel infusions. This does not include the cost of all the other tests, antibiotics, supplements etc... She seems up on alternative medicine but for some reason she does not seem willing to treat with LDN. So, I am feel better but quickly going broke. Can anyone help??? Guest guest
Hi Gail, I can't give you much of a medical explanation but I know it is a homeopathic combination of medicines that is suppose to detox and promote the bodies healing system. I hope this answers your question. You can google the Heel company, which was started by a German physician in the 1800, and learn more. But they really don't say much. Guest guest
I see Dr Heyman in Aldie VA, office is listed under DR Levin, who I think is retireing and turning the office over to Dr Heyman. He has offered me LDN, I may get it next visit. they do not take insurance. But I turn the bills in and my insurance pays me back. once you are a patient it has been about $100 a visit, which is reasonable! its a " nutritional " office. they gave me a peroxide IV once for a cold! He has been handling my hormone treatments and will do AP and LDN for my RA.. Kathy in WV

Guest guest
Thanks for mentioning this one... It's good to know about this guy. I had been told that Dr. Levin charged 1,500 for initial testing and subsequent visits were 300. So he was not affordable for me. It sound like pricing has been reconsidered. I consult with an integrative medical doctor in polis, MD. He formerly partnered with Dr. Teitelbaum & I like him. I especially like that I can have my visits via phone consults. He mails me lab work orders. Amy Kathy wrote: > > > I see Dr Heyman in Aldie VA, office is listed under DR Levin, who I > think is retireing and turning the office over to Dr Heyman. Guest guest
Hi Cooky/Kathy: I like the focus on nutrition and hormones. I am not sure where Aidle is but will find out. I never realized how broken our medical system was until I got sick. BUT lots of prayer, determination and good docs where I can find them and I am going to get better. Guest guest
Hi all, I've been seeing Dr. Levin since 1996; knew about him for many years before. I have never found his prices to be excessive. He's always been very good to consider price/cost with everything and tell me upfront so I could decide if I wanted a certain test or procedure. His staff is great; you can call and tell them what you want/need and they take care of everything they can. I just saw the Dr. in late March and learned that Dr. Heyman bought the practice so I fear Dr. Levin's retirement may be coming. I'm glad for the post about Dr. Heyman as I didn't know if I'd stay with the practice or perhaps try someone else; i.e., Dr. Marie Steinmetz in andria, VA. The one drawback with Dr. Levin was that he did not have hospital privileges in the area hospitals; I believe Dr. Steinmetz does; do not know about Dr. Heyman.
