Guest guest
I have not known a single person with scleroderma or MCTD who did not have TMJ. Once well, mine disappeared but that was a long journey. I hope you are with a physician who is very well versed in alternative medidine and autoimmune diseases and not with one who is doing this to please you. There are so many tests that someone who specializes in this will know to do. I am sure there are many but I don't know of them who also have not had an STD. These, in themselves, can create havoc with us. Just throwing these out and I can remember how frustrating it was not having a definitive diagnosis. Once I had mine, I then had to decide what to do about it. rheumatic My Doctor cant figure me out Hi Folks, I am a long time reader here for many years. Have been on Minocin for about 5 years. Never had a positive RA diagnosis... but found that minocin really helped my tight mussels and joint pain. Possibly Fibromyagia. For the past 4 months, I have new issues. Jaw pain, pressure in my ears, nausea, and slightly swollen salivary glands. Started taking two 100mg of minocin a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. ITs the only thing stopping me from being bed ridden. My doctor has done Ct scans on my neck and sinuses... nothing. Nothing in the blood from the normal tests.. Getting very anxious and tired of the nausea and low energy. Pregnasone has not helped... and a stronger antibiotic has not helped either. My doctor seems to be at a loss.... Guess I Need House! ANy suggestions as to avenues to explore are welcome. Ed

Guest guest
Hi Ed  Before my symptoms of scleroderma showed up, I had jaw pain and swollen glands for a long time. Don't get scared. I am not suggesting you may have SD. soheila   From: Lynne and Santos <lynneandsantos@...> Subject: Re: rheumatic My Doctor cant figure me out rheumatic Date: Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 5:28 PM  Hi Ed; I sympathyse with you.I was in full remission from SD but could never get off the mino without it coming back.My doc was at a loss also but had that funny feeling I had Lyme.Sure enough and now I am on high dose of several antibiotics. Guest guest
Hey Lynne and Ed, I had the same thought: LYME'S! Minocin really helped my Lyme's and RA. I took 100 mg once a day for almost three years. When I went off Minocin, I did the Schardt Protocol (Biaxin and Fluconase) for several months. I also take Teasel drops (3 drops 3x's a day) plus Borrelia drops (10 drops 3x's a day) to help my body fight the Lyme's.
