Guest guest
I read about the coconut oil in Shomon's book and I have some. The only thing that deters me from taking it now is that I am a type 0 and coconut is on my avoid list (meaning it's like poison to my blood type) so I'm not sure what to do. Re:progesterone and yeast are you one the coconut oil board??? If not you might want to check it out - the oil is very good for you in many ways, especially if you have thyroid problems. See below that it is very good for curing Candida. HL What conditions does coconut oil help to treat? BF Topically it seems to be able to benefit almost any skin condition. I wouldn't say that it can cure every type of skin condition, but I've seen a wide variety of conditions improve-and sometimes completely vanish-with the use of coconut oil. It can help speed healing of cuts and burns; there's a long tradition in the islands of using coconut oil as a sunscreen. It is great for fungal infections such as ringworm and athlete's foot. People tell me how they have used medicated treatments without success, but when they use coconut oil it does the job. There is evidence that coconut oil helps prevent osteoporosis. One of the interesting things about coconut oil is that it helps improves nutrient absorption. It improves absorption of minerals such as calcium and magnesium and thus aid in preventing osteoporosis. Also, it increases absorption of some of the B vitamins, the fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, K, beta-carotene, and some amino acids. Because of it is easily digested, provides a quick and easy source of nutrition, and improves absorption of other nutrients coconut oil has been recommended in the treatment of malnutrition. Coconut oil has many other uses. Research has shown it can be useful in the treatment and prevention of obesity. A lot of research is current being done in this area. Studies show it may be helpful in preventing liver disease, kidney disease, Crohn's disease, cancer and many infectious illnesses such as the flu, herpes, bladder infections, and candida, to mention just a few. Studies are now being done to test it effectiveness against serious illness such as AIDS and SARS. Preliminary results have been very promising. It's effectiveness has to do with the size of the molecule and that the oil can then penetrate into the cells and kill germs/virus'. SeaLady Does anyone know if progesterone is bad to use if you have systemic candida? Does it make it worse or help it or have no bearing on it? Guest guest
I don't have candidiasis. I didn't have hypo until I did 4 months of Wiley Protocol early last year. Guest guest
This is the Wiley Protocol http://www.thewileyprotocol.com/ The high estrogen and progesterone really damaged my endocrine system. I first heard of WP in Suzanne Somer's last book. Guest guest
No wonder I always feel worse when using progesterone cream. Thanks!! Re:progesterone and yeast >>Does anyone know if progesterone is bad to use if you have systemic candida? Does it make it worse or help it or have no bearing on it?>> Yes, progesterone definitely can make a yeast problem worse. I had asked this question to a compounding pharmacist (Women's International Pharmacy) about four years ago when I had a yeast problem, and she said this can aggravate the yeast problem as it feeds the yeast. She advised to clear the yeast infection before using progesterone cream. Dove Rose ---------- My Beloved is mine and I am His. Guest guest
I should correct something I said. Dr Formby actually just quietly shadows the rhythmicliving group. He is not the moderator. Guest guest
My Dr said progesterone was so safe, in and out of your body quickly and he said I needed it to protect my uterus. In fact, every other Dr I mentioned it to agreed. AND, it helped me sleep. Delores Fw: Re:progesterone and yeast > Wow, Delores, that's a lot of progesterone.
