Canary Club Saliva Test Question

My oldest son is giving me the money to do this test as my late

Christmas present so I will be doing this test very soon.

2 questions:

1. What day would be best to do this on so that the shipping time gets

it there on a weekday and not the weekend?

2. What has been the best method for shipping? I assume overnight -

but who has everyone had the best luck with getting it there ontime?

Thanks for the help and thank God I am FINALLY getting to do this

test.

Shippign Monday mornings barring any holidays is alweys best. I usually

ship Priority but am havmng second thughts abotu paying the extra for 2

day aidr as I am going on 7 days righ tnow and they have not got my

samples yet. I would be more worried aboiut time of month if you have

periods still it wold need to be day 20-21 of your cycle to be best

timing for the sex hormones.

Thanks . I had a partial hyst in 1996 - so I do not have to worry about

the periods (thank God for small mercies). Anyway - my main thing I am testing

is the cortisol - all the rest is just icing for me. So you would say do the

test on Sunday and ship on Monday? 2 day air? Via post office? Do you put each

tube in the fridge after finishing with it or just the whole box at the end of

the day? Thanks for your help.

Personally I put each tube in the frige once it is filled. Yes I ship

through the PO but only for convenience and I hate UPS or Fed Ex as I

have not had good results receiving packages from either!

I am so happy that your son is helping you to get tested!!!

I sent mine from here in TX & used priority mail on a Monday. It

arrived at the lab on Thursday.

Val, on the timing of test...what if my cycle runs every 20-24 days? I

am looking into doing this test as well.

Thanks Gale. That is good to know. Guess I will be doing the test this Sunday (I

already have the kit at home - just been waiting on the money). All my son

knows is I need the money to help pay for a test that I need that is not covered

on my insurance. He does not understand my health problems nor does he want to-

so I don't tell him what it is for. As long as he comes through with the money

- I am good.

Also, how can these tests possibly not be compromised during shippment

especially in warmer weather (like here in FL...huge grin!!)? Thanks.

From what I have red saliva hormones levels are VERY stable even in

warmer temps.

i read that hormones levels on samples do not change for about 2 weeks but

samples get moldy and smell bad after about 4 days in room temp.

UPS automatically does a free $100 insurance on all shipments.

I called the next day & it arrived.

I asked what happens to packages that are received over the weekend & they told

me that they've got someone to come in every day of the weekend to put test

samples in the fridge. So if your samples get there over the weekend - they

won't just be sitting in the office unattended.
