Guest guest
My local Ralphs/Kroger's carries Alveno HC. Read the label, didn't see any chemicals that I know of. The tube is expensive compared to the generic option. Generic is around $2 and Alveno was $7. Tasia
Guest guest
Do you mean Aveeno? I couldn't find anything called Alveno when I googled. I just looked at Aveeno yesterday at my store. It looked pretty good until I saw the two parabens which makes it about like what I have now but a lot more expensive. Cortaid only has one paraben. Safeway brand seems be the least toxic and proportionately less expensive of the OTC brands. http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100786 & navAction=jump & navCo unt=1 & id=prod535829 Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice , Avena Sativa Kernel Flour Oat , Beeswax , Cetyl Alcohol , Citric Acid , Glyceryl Stearate , Isopropyl Myristate , Methylparaben , PEG-40 Stearate , Polysorbate 60 , Propylene Glycol , Propylparaben , Sodium Citrate , Sorbic Acid , Sodium Stearate , Stearyl Alcohol , Tocopheryl Acetate , Water If you do use it, Walgreens has discount coupons if you order online. I usually save about $20 if I wait for the coupons. Cheri Fond HC Cream W/out Additives/Chemicals My local Ralphs/Kroger's carries Alveno HC. Read the label, didn't see any chemicals that I know of. Guest guest
I did not know about the coupons...good idea! I have a discount product that a local wellness pharmacy carries. I did not see anything that ends with a -ban. Is there anything toxic in this brand? by qualitest pharmaceuticals inc --cetyl alcohol, diaolindnyl urea, isopropyl palmitate, mineral oil/lanoiln alcohol, polysorbate 40, propylene glycol, propylene glycol stearate, purified water, sorbic acid, sorbitan palmitate, stearl alchol, xantham gum The product is a dry cream--easy rub in. And the opening of the tube is the same size as the syringe I use. V. convient to squeeze my dose out. Tasia
Guest guest
The main things to avoid are parabens and mineral oil. That one does have mineral, but no parabens. I haven't found one that is completely without any of those so I would say that one is not as bad as most. Guest guest
Figures, I think that the one I have been using has both. Good to see you back Cheri. I was starting to worry about you a little when you didn't post for a while. > > The main things to avoid are parabens and mineral oil. That one does have > mineral, but no parabens. Guest guest
I am way behind email and have less and less time to read them so I have to skip like 100 at a time. Too much going on and some new stresses in my life. Cheri Re: Fond HC Cream W/out Additives/Chemicals Figures, I think that the one I have been using has both. Good to see you back Cheri. Guest guest
This may be a dumb question, but what is HC cream and what is it used for? Is it a prescription? Thanks. Kathy
Guest guest
HC cream is an OTC cream usually used for itching or rashes. It comes in 1% strength which contains 10MG hydrocortisone per 1/4 teaspoon. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
