Wow! I love that this story highlights the dental infection issue! I went to

a holistic dentist who found a major infection in my jawbone beneath the

sites of my wisdom tooth extractions. My dermatomyositis began within 12

months of those extractions! After he removed the infection I was FINALLY

able to tolerate the Minocin. Before that, the herxing nearly killed me, and

I couldn't tolerate the AP for more than a few months at a time, without the

herxing putting me in life threatening condition. Now I've been on AP for 2

1/2 years. i've recovered my strength. I have almost normal labs- a true

miracle! Getting that dental infection discovered was so key to this whole

process.
