Guest guest
Unfortunately I believe fluoride is one of the WORST poisoins for the endocrine system today and one of the MAJOR cuases of our illnesses. Followed closely by bromide which is in all the insecticides in use everywhere. Between the two and then add in chlorine, we don;t stand a chance of escaping poisoined endocrine.immune systems. The proof in this is that all domestic animals are also affected wiht weak adrenals and thyroid diseases. The foods are not the same, it almost has ot be water or air but if it were air wild animals would be equally affected and they are not,..YET. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
I totally agree!! Fluoride is POISON!!! And I drink a ton of water using only a Brita or I buy distilled water trying to get all the crap out of it. Many towns and county's are now starting to ban fluoride in the water, unfortunately though here in Florida it will not happen quickly, so far only one county has done so. In fact last year across the front page of our newspaper in 2 " letters was a headline: Melbourne Running Out of Fluoride!!! The article then went on to say we were at emergency critical levels and that they were doing everything they could to procure fluoride for our water - even if they had to pay 10 times more to get it... Oh boy....and get they did...too bad. I've also written to the local paper and attaching articles from the http://www.fluoridealert.org/ - you can look up on this site and see articles and actions taken in your particular area. Maybe if we all push for articles in our local papers more awareness will come, though most dentists STILL insist it is good - maybe the only way to get their support is to say fluoride must be administered by a dentist, that we don't know how much each person gets in the water, some might get too much some not at all....then we can all CHOOSE NOT to have this done to us and our children - why don't we get a say in how we are being poisoned??? Guest guest
Thanks for posting that. I am going to take a copy with me to the dentist. Kim Fluoride info and effects on health I've seen a few posts since joining here about the dangers of Fluoride so I decided to do some searching. I stumbled upon this Fluoride information which also mentions it's effect on the Thyroid. Scary stuff it seems Fluoride comes from so many multiple sources now. In my opinion it would be most beneficial to eliminate as much of it from our diet/environment as possible. Some of this is almost unbelievable but I have found a bunch more sites confirming most of it. Again Fluoride seems to be some nasty stuff! Guest guest
Oh I know it doesn't - that is why I buy the distilled water - I use the Brita when I don't have the other. SeaLady Bad news! I've been using my $99 distiller for about 4 years, and it still is chugging along, always 1 gallon per day, often 2 gallons a day, day in day out. Easy to clean, easy to maintain. I can take apart the top and clean the fan and so forth easily. sol

Alligators in the Florida everglades with small *ahem* 'members'.. The notorious thin-shelled eggs of Carson's Silent Spring. " Gay " female gulls that seem to nest together, and are less attentive to their offspring. Rats exposed to chemicals in utero who are overreactive to stress (probably permanent or semi- permanent effects on the HPA axis). HUMAN children who seem to be the same way (ADHD). The fact that sperm counts have decreased about *50%* in just two or three decades. Lowered measures of human potential and attentional decreases (and possibly lowered IQs) in children born of Chinese women who were ingested cooking oil contaminated with PCBs. Daughters of women exposed to the estrogenic chemical DES during their pregnancies who have gross reproductive-tract deformities. And these was *exactly* the same kinds of deformities that happened in mice exposed to DES in utero as well. An unknown extents of reproductive tract problems in " DES sons " (although there are some indications of the genital problems). Increased incidence of early puberty in girls, and perhaps boys as well. Breast cancer rates increasing at 1% a year since WWII. Prostate cancer rates on the rise in men. And of course endocrine problems. The list goes on. Oh, and sheep that wouldn't reproduce because of clover contamination - clover *makes* an estrogenic compound. As does pomegranate and several other plants as a means of defense - a natural form of birth control to stop the reproduction of the predatory animals. All this is from Our Stolen Future by Theo Colburn. There are more examples of endocrine disruption effects showing up in wild populations too. Guest guest
Hi, I am interested in knowing more about the harm of dental x-rays - my dentist MAKES me get them, or he will not only not treat me, but will not let me get my teeth cleaned. I've had the same hygienist for 20 yrs - I really like her - but I try and put off getting the x-rays done for the longest time - he has told me it is the law... There is a law here in Fl. That says I can't have my teeth cleaned without x-rays?????? So I am wondering since I have a tumor on my pituitary if there is any way I can use that as a reason NOT to have x-rays done as often??? Guest guest
It seems unethical for a dr. to refuse to clean your teeth based on not complying with x-rays. Your dr. really pisses me off. For example, my younger brother is severely autistic and it was nearly impossible for him to sit still to be examined.....impossible to get an xray. Yet that dr continued to see him for teeth cleaning. What if you had a phobia with the xray? Here's a link for bio-friendly drs probably if you called them they could give you an answer. http://www.iaomt.org/patients/search.aspx I read somewhere that xrays are an inferior method for detecting cavities....cant find the source. I do know that staining the teeth is more effective. Think about it, most cavities are too small to show up on the xray... Tasia
Guest guest
If you do not already do this at dental visits, please request an apron (chest to waist) and a shield for your thyroid.Mostdentists havesomething they can rig you up with. And the ones I have learn quickly I don't like X-Rays and only allow them in certain instances - not routine. Guest guest
I DO have a problem with x-rays - my mouth is very small - so the adult x-ray holder they put in your mouth just will not fit in mine - as in you are suppose to be able to close your mouth to hold it in place - I cannot - so I gag and have to try and hold it with my hand while they run quick to do the x-ray. They have sometimes used children's holders for me - but either way I just don't like it, don't like the price of it and don't like what it could be doing to me. BUT I love the lady who cleans my teeth. I may have to consider a different dentist the next time I need actual dental work, there is a non-mercury using dentist near here.
