Leonie,

get some probiotic at the health food store. I took two for about four months

and then one after that every day. now I don't have a problem with my stomache

or gut.

I wish you well.

Hello group,

I finally decided to start on the AP, and now i have an ulcer (or something) due

to long term Celebrex usage. The doc wants me to take Nexium, a stomach acid

inhibitor (PPI) which i'll probably have to start on tonight since my stomach is

burning.

Does anyone know if the Minocin and Nexium can be taken together ? It seems to

me that it will create a very unfavourable environment in my body, since the

Nexium kills stomach acid causing bugs to multiply. This is on top of the

antibiotics killing all the intestinal flora also. I feel like i've run out of

options in life. My knees are badly swollen and it's hard to get around. I'm

going to ask for a cortisone injection tomorrow, since the Celebrex is eating

away at my insides.

thanks to you all ...

You may want to try drinking aloe vera water/juice/gel (whichever you can

get and like). It will sooth and heal all the way through your body. El

Hi

I am taking minocin nd also  Prilosac which is PPI too. Doctor prescribed

Minocin and Prilosac for me. I didn't have much heart burn but I had acid

reflux. Prilosac worked for me.

You take Nexium at morning before taking anything and take Minocin at least 3

hours after Nexium because to digest Minocin the stomack should be acidic

enough.

Hi Leonie

I take Nexium whenever I have to have NSAIDS so I was interested in

your query. I did a bit of research and it seems it's ok to have it

with most antibiotics - it's specifically used in conjunction with

antibiotics for stomach ulcers.
