Guest guest
Boy, that really made me think...I've realized all along I must have been hypo at birth....but I am now recalling bald spots that just happened like this ....just a smooth spot appearing. Happened when I was 16 and again after my first baby....I blamed it on ringworm when I was 16 but after baby I had no idea what caused it.....I know I was depleted and tried to figure out It grew back of course but now it is thinning by the handfuls....I didn't have a lot of hair to begin with. Hope for us somewhere?? -- Re: Val- Bald Spot Question I have never noticed bald spot or thinnin hair. Guest guest
Hypo will make you lose more hair than a normal person. I have corrected mine with Biotin and Horsetail herb which is silica. Also msm, glucosamine, and some calcium. I notice more hair in my brush when I am out of these supplements. Best wishes, Pat Re: Val- Bald Spot Question I have never noticed bald spot or thinnin hair. Guest guest
Evening primrose oil is supposed to work very well for hair loss due to hypo. mary Shomon advocates it in her books and uses it and says she got her hair back. Guest guest
Evening primrose oil is used for the GLA, make sure it is cold pressed and void of Hexane and all other solvent residues. Borage oil actually has more GLA and if often used for female health as well. Borage oil has Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), Linoleic Acid (LA), along with Omega-6 fatty acids. -------Original Message------- From: Gikas Evening primrose oil is supposed to work very well for hair loss due to hypo mary Shomon advocates it in her books and uses it and says she got her hair back. Guest guest
I have tried both evening primrose oil and borage oil and hardly noticed any difference. I think it's a hypo problem with not enough cortisol to get the thyroid to the cells. Your body prioritizes the functions it uses thyroid for, and hair and eyebrows are last on the list. I recently raised thyroid by 1/8! of a grain and added 2.5 mg HC, and eyebrows have started filling in. Guest guest
Thanks . I know there are more important things to worry about, but it's nice to at least LOOK normal, even if we don't FEEL that way! Guest guest
Barb, It is nice to look normal, that said if the eyebrows are filling in good things have to be happening inside you as well. Hopefully you will also start to feel better as well. Being able to look in the mirror and see the real Barb has to help your moral. For my self have no outside eyebrows, puffy eyes, circles under the eyes (for 25 years) buccal fat cheeks for 18 years. Hopefully as slowly heal the adrenals and with thyroid treatment all of that will go away. Three cheers for eyebrows!!! From: Barb Thanks .
