Guest guest
I think of Dolores as the miner from Chili who was in charge of the other 32 miners. Was the last miner to leave the mine, making sure everyone got up to safety (wellness) The miners book/adventure will be thrilling of human survival....and Dolores book will be the same, as we all " surface " to life and wellness. sally rheumatic what is AP > > rheumatic <rheumatic%40> <mailto: > rheumatic%40 <rheumatic%2540>> > > Date: Monday, October 11, 2010, 7:46 PM > > question please what is AP stands for is Humira is one of it ? if not can > > you give me some example of it . > > Thanks a lot > >
Guest guest
Good Morning Dolores, Thanks for responding to me. Let's start with the tests for Celiac disease, lymes disease, excessive metals, all resulted in negative. Yes I did have a dental implant due to a botched root canal about 3 years ago. My doctor #1 felt I got RA from this root canal. I wasn't instructed to take my probiotic at a later time than my antibiotic. I have just started doing this. I will ask my dr about the brand name minocin instead of minocycline difference. No I am not taking any immune suppressing drugs. I haven't had a recent test for ANA or RF. But I do remember for RF number was 20 (meaning negative) detection and the ANA was positive. I am limiting dairy and sugar for one month to see if I feel better. I will see my dr #2 on Friday. I know he is looking at food allergies. I had a blood test (IGG/IGA) for food allergies (before I was diagnosed RA) which proved very little food allergies but he doesn't think that is a very reliable test. Why do drs make you take and pay for tests that aren't reliable? This is frustrating. I don't feel I am getting worse but I don't feel I am getting better. I work full time and have a pretty stressful job. Mornings are the worse. Sometimes I wake up and don't know what will hurt next. Hands, wrists, knees, hips and feet are the worst. Well, enjoy your day I need to get dressed for work. Guest guest
Hi kid, good morning.  It sure sounds like you've covered most of the basics. I give you credit for continuing to work. I know I tried and had to give up finally.  I ended up bedridden for eight months with a prognosis that I had approximately 5-6 months to live. Have you tried the LDN? I have never taken it, but from the posts that I read, it sounds like it really helps people to cope while they are on the antibiotic, and that they feel better....   I just had a recent incident that really has me puzzled. I am in remission and have not had any symptoms for a very long time. Before I tell you what happened, you need to know that I am under stress right now taking care of a mother with Alzheimer's who is in the hospital at present. She had surgery done on Friday and is very uncooperative. I go to the hospital everyday and just get aggravated. She pulls out all her tubes. The nurses have her hands tied down.  I do what the nurses don't have time to do. I dress her wounds and give her mouth care. I check her feet and her skin for any ulcerations or signs of redness. She gets nasty with me and the nurses and even bit my husband.   All that aside, we realize that she is not in her right mind at this time, so I have to learn to ignore it.   After being symptom free for so long, I woke up three days ago with a pain in my left foot and it was swollen. I didn't twist it or fall. I checked for a spider bite or tick bite. There was not a mark. By the end of the day, I was walking with a cane and by the next morning I was using my mom's wheel chair. It was the weekend and I was not about to sit in an ER for 13 hours, so I just soaked it in epsom salts and kept it elevated. The next morning, the pain was severe so I had to take some oxycodone, because now the pain had traveled to my knee as well.  On Monday, I went to the doctor. He ordered a weeks worth of Mobic for the inflammation. (That is an NSAID).  He ordered blood work and xrays. I get all the results on Thursday. but coming home from x-ray, before I even had a chance to pick up my medication, the pain started to subside. I had decided not to go to the hospital that day, but since I was already out, I went for a short visit and I could kick myself. I got myself all upset at the hospital and could kick myself for going. Today, I am staying home to take care of myself. I truly believe, this was brought on by the stress. We shall see on Thurs., but I bet that by then, I will be fine. I think I will just stay home and wait for my mom's discharge. She is coming home with a hospital bed and hospice will be in charge. I realize that I must hand over her care to the nurses and just take care of myself the best I can.   I thought I would share this with you, since the only thing I picked up from your e:mail that would give me a hint is that something in your job is stressing you out and possibly this may be the reason you are not getting the results you want as fast. See what you can do to minimize the stress and keep on checking out other reasons.  Someone on this site, might be able to come up with another idea. I do believe that stress has a huge effect on the body and mine just screamed at me for doing too much with Mom. She is 96 and there is nothing I can do about her aging or dying.  I have to resolve this within me.  Take care~~~~~ I'll just allow Hopice to keep her comfortable till she goes and just celebrate her longevity ~~~~~~Dolores    > > From: Hadia < hadia_elnagdy@... <hadia_elnagdy%40> <mailto: > hadia_elnagdy%40 <hadia_elnagdy%2540>> > > > Subject: rheumatic what is AP > > rheumatic <rheumatic%40> <mailto: > rheumatic%40 <rheumatic%2540>> > > Date: Monday, October 11, 2010, 7:46 PM > > question please what is AP stands for is Humira is one of it ? if not can > > you give me some example of it . > > Thanks a lot > >
Guest guest
Hi Dolores, I just read your email of your recent experience and want to say that in one way I hope you're correct in thinking stress triggered it. I bet you're right on! I'm sorry you had to go through that ordeal and glad that it has somewhat subsided. Stress plays such a huge role in our illnesses here and unfortunately, we can't travel through life without it.....wouldn't that be nice? We can try to handle stress better but sometimes when it's long term, it's tough. I think we've all been there. I have. SO, just want to say " feel good and take good care of yourself " . Guest guest
Thank you Judy, I really do believe that this is the way the body talks to us. Mine was screaming at me to stop the anxiety and turmoil I am going through within myself and to realize that I cannot do anything about her condition at present. I have to let things be as they are. When she gets home, hospice will take over. As soon as I accepted the fact that I am powerless over her condition, my pains subsided. I only took one mobic last night. I will continue and then see what the lab & w-rays tell me. But, don't think I will need anymore treatment after this. I guess 75% of the discomfort is all in my head......Dolores > > From: Hadia < _hadia_elnagdy@..._ (mailto:hadia_elnagdy@...) <hadia_elnagdy%40> <mailto: > hadia_elnagdy%40 <hadia_elnagdy%2540>> > > > Subject: rheumatic what is AP > > _rheumatic _ (mailto:rheumatic ) <rheumatic%40> <mailto: > rheumatic%40 <rheumatic%2540>> > > Date: Monday, October 11, 2010, 7:46 PM > > question please what is AP stands for is Humira is one of it ? if not can > > you give me some example of it . > > Thanks a lot > >
Guest guest
Hi again Dolores, " In your head maybe " , but manifests itself in the body. Kudos for you for being so sensible and logical and for processing it all out and coming to a conclusion....with a PLAN as well. I try to do that. I related so quickly to you about your Mom (as I'm sure many others on our site do too). Six yrs ago when my Mom was in the hospital in L.Is. and I flew in from Michigan to be with her as long as she needed, I had the biggest flair in my foot. I was doing so well and thought I had it all in control but apparently didn't. It swelled up around my toe and the next time I saw my foot doctor he said it was a " stress fracture " . Wow. Anyway, it just proves how we need to be aware and try to control it by doing everything and anything we all can to " take care of ourselves " . Keep up the good work Dolores!
