Guest guest
Oh Ellen I am so sorry you are going through this, Can you DICTH this doctor that is causing this for you? I would raise the HC back to at least 30MG immediately. What the HELL is this doctor thinking. Nevermind she is not. Especiall while you are going through extra stress and pain you should not have lowered the HC and with you having 's I do nto think 20MG is enough for you anyway even on GOOD days where nothign is out of the ordinary. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Good luck with the Apnea, I have this too. But I would not be afraid to take up to 40MG daily until your paoin level is better. It may even help wihtte disc as it releives infalammmation. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Even if I had all those steriods in the epidurals in my back. Should I still take that much cortisol Do you wear a CPAP too. I am still trying to get used to that. It dries my throat so much Thanks Ellen > > Good luck with the Apnea, I have this too. Guest guest
How much steroids are they giving you in the epidurals? Ye sI am trying to get used to my CPAP. IAFter about $200 worth of masks that did not work I FINALLY found one that does and now my night sweats are keeping me form getting a good night's sleep. The mask I found is called a Hybrid it is nasal pillows as welll as a mouth piece but nothign over the bridge of th4 nose and is very comfortable A humidifier (for the CPAP itself) may help with the dryness oyu are experiencing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
I am not sure how much are in the edidurals. I just took 10mg more of cortef. The pain is out of control and pain meds don't touch this nor do the muscle relaxers.....Help I went through a 4 or 5 masks too. I seem to like the pillows in my nose the best. I have also gone through several machines. I am sick of this medical stuff. I am ready for God to heal me Ellen > > Good luck with the Apnea, I have this too. Guest guest
Yes I liek the nasal plugs the best but I HAVE to have the CPAP humidifier on to use them or my nostrils get WAY too sore and dry. DO you have a humidifier on your CPAP machine? It really made all the difference in the world for me. I am sorry I am not any help for the pain you are in. Have you told your doctor this and asked for differnt pain meds that might be more effective? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Does your CPAP machine have a humidification chamber? If not. You should get one that does, if you can.- Hensley <>< 8-) -- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , " mem_mem_me " wrote: > snip > > Do you wear a CPAP too. > > I am still trying to get used to that. Guest guest
When I first got on CPAP, my throat used to get really dry too and then I told my sleep doc and he asked me if I was using " distilled water " in the humidifier. I was not. He told me that was the problem and to switch to distilled. Ever since I did there's no more dry throat. Of course if you're a mouth breather and not wearing a full nose & mouth mask, then you'd get the dry throat too. Re: DHEA and Cortisol Even if I had all those steriods in the epidurals in my back. Guest guest
Ellen, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this! 10 years ago I had a bulging disc in my L4-L5 and thought I would die from the pain. I also had epidurals - 3 series of 3. They did help some along with Darvocet (lots of Darvocet) But mostly, rest and time. The good news is that I am now pain free and have been for quite a while. So don't lose hope you will get better. Hang in there, I'll be thinking of you, English > > Thanks . I am in reallly bad shape. I have been also trying to deal > with sleep apnea. Guest guest
They are steroid injections. I did a google search and found this: the typical corticosteroid doses are 12-18 mg for betamethasone and 80-120 mg for methylprednisolone. Half of these steroid doses are generally used when performing transforaminal ESIs. The epidural steroid is injected in a diluent, such as lidocaine (1-2%) and/or normal saline. I guess this is when that cortisone converter I posted yesterday might come in handy English > > I am not sure how much are in the edidurals. I just took 10mg more of > cortef. Guest guest
5 mg betamethasone is equivalent to 167 mgs hydrocortisone. 5 mg methylprednisolone = 25 mg HC sol English stage 5 burden 12 wrote: > They are steroid injections. Guest guest
Thank you everybody. I am going to make it through this. I am getting some lidocane injections to try to stop the spasms. I think I will also stop th DHEa. I was not this bad before I decreased the cortef and started DHEa of 25 mg. I am also going to go back to the 30mg of cotef instead of the 20mg she dropped me down too. Ellen > > > > I am not sure how much are in the edidurals. I just took 10mg more of > > cortef.
