Guest guest
I've not posted here before..yes, a lurker! I was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma in Oct 2009, 2 years to the day after my breast cancer diagnosis. I have been on doxycycline (Dr. Franco) since Jan. with good results. I also have a son with autism. We've been doing biomedical treatments for 4.5 years with incredible results. All this to say, I attended the Autism One conference in 2008 and sat in on a lecture about helminthic therapy. Autism One has a lot of great presentations on immune system functioning. I looked it up and below is the link on their website to the powerpoint presentation I sat in on. The woman presenting has a son who (is, was?) pretty severely affected by autism...this therapy was quite helpful to her son. Admittedly, I found it to be a hard therapy to consider....but I saw her evidence of how it helped her family. http://www.autismone.org/content/hygiene-hypothesis-intestinal-parasites-and-imm\ une-system-regulation Anne Marie
Guest guest
Just found a book (suggested by the author of the power point on helminthic therapy from Autism One) that has a chapter in it on the therapy. It can be found at amazon or and Noble: Not sure you want to buy a book focused on autism, but perhaps you could peruse it at the store.
