Guest guest
Stage 7 alwasy will need hydrocortisone I feel. It is NOT harmful to your bones or any other part of your body in physiologicl replacement dosses. It is the high pharmacological dosing done long term that causes these problems. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
; Thank you for your reply. Is there a " system or protocol " that you recommend for healing these adrenals? (OK am skimming the FAC now and see this is much more complex than I thought) I have read Dr. Lam's site, and have ordered Dr. 's book from the library, but it is not available until late Jan. I get the feeling my MD has little experience with this, but is willing to try as he gave me Dr Lam's site to study. The Naturopath does not use cortizone. I feel like I am in this alone and it is a scary feeling. I need to start feeling better as I have been getting progressively worse for th elast 2 years. In the FAC i talks about testing for ACTH. I have not taken HC but have started on Dr. 's glandulars. Is it too late for an ACTH test? Would I have to stop the glandulars? If so, for how long? Does anyone know if insurance covers these types of testing? THis just seems to get scarier as I go. Blessings, Marissa > > Stage 7 alwasy will need hydrocortisone I feel. Guest guest
Your message could have written by me - 2 years and not getting better - and ny natureopathic doctor cannot perscribe HC, but thinks vitamins are going to do it. But I have learned a lot from this ND. If you can get a doctor to perscribe the saliva tests and give the medical necessity, for example, fatigue, water retention, etc.) and list the medical codes for billing, insurancewould cover, and probably whatever was perscribed. At least that's what ZRT labs where I had my testing done told me. Unfortunately, I didn't get a perscription. Guest guest
Yes you would need to stop the glandulars to test ACTh or ACTH Stim. Or cortiosl levels. Sorry can;t remember but have oyu done the slaiva cortisol testing? That si the ONE testing I would nto skip. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Marissa, As says, you need HC. You can get HC cream 1% OTC. 1/4 tsp is roughly equal to 10mg HC. Be sure follow the ramp up instructions found at STTM or in the files section at this site. It is started slowly and built up slowly - after your tests, of course. Yes, all of this is scary and I'm scared still sometimes, but with the help of Val, Janie and many at these wonderful sites, I'm getting well and you will too. All good things take time.
