Guest guest
I am taking my cortef and doing pretty good. I have been off work all last week and then Mon and Tuesday of this week. I was sleeping later and just taking my first cortef when I got up. Now I'm back at it and I can not get out of bed in the mornings. My questions is if I set my clock at 6:30 is this when I should take my first cortef? Today I took it at 7:15, 1:00 and 2.5 at 5:30. I have not been on it enough to work my self up. My doctor only gave me 2 a day but I'm going by the guidelines of STTM timing. This morning when I got to work I couldn't get to going even though I had taken my first cortef. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks, Tammy
Guest guest
Sounds liek you need a bedtime dose. This will not only help you sleep but will allow oyu to not be SO low in the AM that your body is not starting to fiunction when it should, -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
What do your cortisol labs look like? When are you lowest in cortisol? The reason I ask is you have a big gap between 7:15 and 1 pm. That is almost 6 hours. You should have no more than 4 and for me, I had to go to 3 hours to really feel better. I think you need to close the spacing of your doses to no more than 4 or even 3.5 hrs. Something like this spaced in 4 doses: 7:15, 11 am, 3pm, 7pm Cheri -----Original Message----- I am taking my cortef and doing pretty good. Guest guest
I am low in the mornings. I didn't think about the fact that I could take them closer than 4 hours. Today I did: 7:15=5 12:00=5 4:30=2.5 My head has been spinnin alot and swimmy headed but I'm feeling good. I am having PMS so I'm hoping that might be contributing to it. This is only day 15 of taking cortef so I haven't got it down to a pattern yet. Also, do you drink caffeine with cortef or do you stay away from it. Thanks Squarepants. Guest guest
>>Also, do you drink caffeine with cortef or do you stay away from it.<< It ius not with the cortef or not but when yoiu have weak adrenals caffeine can stimulate them and prevent healing if you drink alot of caffeine. Some docs say NONE when tryign to heal the adrneals, others say a little won;t hurt but you should try ot cut it to a little. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
