Guest guest
Hi Ana, I was diagnosed with RA in 1977, but in retrospect, I had had transient symptoms during the previous 10 years as well. Like you, RA has affected most of my joints. In 2001, I had a cervical fusion from the occiput to C-4. I can recommend my orthopedic surgeon in Toronto, Canada. He specializes in necks and had a neurosurgeon with him during the surgery. I went back in my files and found e-mails I had written to the group and a few responses from people who had had neck fusions and had responded. If you would like the information which is, in some cases, quite detailed, let me know privately (kglg@...) and I will send it to you privately. I am a person who needs information and details, but not everyone does. Also, feel free to ask specific questions and I will be happy to answer them. rheumatic c1c2 instability Hello Group, I was diagnosed with ra 24 yrs ago and at present all my joints are affected including the cervical spine has anybody in the group been diagnosed with cervical instability at c1c2 and been recommended spinal fusion for it? please also comment on surgery if you had it and post operative recovery. any good neurosurgeon recommendation? thank you, Ana
