Chest pain?AF, thyroid or other?

Every once in a while, I experience this annoying chest pain. Its off

and on throughout the day about once a month or so. Now, its hitting

right after the menstrual cycle (when Im already drained to begin

with). It sometimes even hurts when breathing in.

I've been to the ER for this in the past and they took a chest X-ray,

blood levels and ruled that it was chest pain due to hypothyroidism

because my levels were slightly low. Could this be true?

I don't have any other breathing problems...weezing or etc, so Im

doubting anything else(collapsed lung, pneumonia, etc). Although, I

read a blood clot can cause such pain(im 23, so hopefully not).

Wondering if anyone else gets this with AF or HypoT???

Thanks

I get this, and I've been trying to solve it for years. I ended up in the

emergency room

three times, but they found nothing. Ultrasound showed nothing. Lately, I've

been

wondering if it's Costocondritis -- which seems to mean that it's " harmless "

chest pain

caused by infection or they don't know what, but there's no treatment.

Apparently, it

usually goes away, but some people have it for years. There are just so many

things it

could be, and it always drives me crazy that doctors just don't seem to be able

to come to

any definite conclusion. Once I was told it was indigestion, and I think that's

partly true in

my case.

I also have low thyroid. My chest pain has been worse since starting Cortef.
