Hi Joanna,

This is something I have always wondered about myself.

When I was in South America I was in Caracas

Venezuela. The weather was much cooler, and the

altitude was about 1000 meters. While my diet was the

similar, the produce, pollution etc. would have

differed.

I have noticed that when I travel, (and I travel a lot

for work) my symptoms would change with locations. I

was in New Zealand in December, and for one week I had

no symptoms whatsoever.

When I queried my doctor about it he stated that

weather, food, pollution, etc all can effect PSA,

however there was no correlations yet on what to

change.

My most severe symptoms have always been in Houston

Texas. Hot, humid, fair amount of pollution, both car

based, and emanating from the Ship channel, refinery

area.

Are there any studies on the geographical distribution

of PSA, because I will move!!!

cheers

tom

Hot and humid is where I experienced my worst flare as well. In fact,

even hot and dry proved terrible last summer. I do much better in

cooler climate w/o a lot of barometric changes, even if cold!

Hi Cheryl -

I'm also in Alaska but spend the coldest part of the year in San

Diego. I find my joint pain diminishes significantly when I leave

Alaska in the winter for a warmer climate. I guess everyone is different.
