Guest guest
Angie--I don't know about the methotrexate because I just started it, but I wanted to say that you DON'T HAVE TO QUIT GRIPING. Sometimes you gotta gripe or you feel like you'll burst into flames or something. I hope you feel better soon and you can gripe to me any time you want. laura along302003 <along3@...> wrote: has anyone had to go off mtx because it wasn't helping I am having a lot of pain and swelling so I am going to talk to the doctor as I am tired of hurting so much. Guest guest
I recently talked to an old friend who is now an MD. She told me under no circumstances should I take any of the DMARDS (except minocycline). From her and other doctors' experiences, anyone who has been on a DMARD and later diagnosed with cancer, no chemotherapy will work. I am exploring AP and now reading about MP. It is overwhelming to me, and I have a master's degree in microbiology and immunology. I hope to plow through all the info and talk with my general practitioner. She is open to working with me. One thing to address is food sensitivities. I stopped eating wheat and have become " functional " again. I believe that eating foods that our immune systems reacts to creates more inflammation in our body. When I stay away from wheat (which is not easy to do and a good way to lose weight as it greatly limits the foods available to you) my pain is more in the range of 3-4 instead of 9-10 and I find that my body does not react to minor exertion (such as throwing a ball for my dog) as a major trauma (it used to feel as if someone bashed me in the shoulder with a baseball bat when I threw a ball). One time I used a shovel digging dirt for 20 minutes and later lost use of my hands for 48 hours! It really scared me. But now that I am off wheat, I do not experience these extreme reactions. It may not be wheat for everyone, but wheat, dairy, and corn are likely suspects and a good place to start. It takes diligence. My heart goes out to all of you who in your determination to regain your life have taken remedy after remedy only to end up having done more damage to your body. The TH 1 illness and Marshal Protocol seem highly plausible as the cause of RA and other diseases. This is the safest and most likely course of therapy to lead to a cure. My best to you all.
