Guest guest
Hi Lee: Just a note: My rheumatologist threatened to go after my infectious disease doctor's licence if he treated me with antibiotics. I ended up having to sign a waiver to be treated with antibiotics. I am so thankful I did. Rheumatologists are, in my opinion, not generally favorable to antibiotic therapy; but there are always a limited few who practice the AP protocol. Back in the early 90's, Lyme was not an acceptable diagnosis. Actually, today's outlook on Lyme is only slightly improved. The two doctors I dealt with are both highly respected in their fields. They just both had staunch oposing opinions. I know it seems like a maze, and I wish you the very best. Sincerely, **************Planning your summer road trip? Check out AOL Travel Guides. Guest guest
Lee Other rheumatic diseases are also accompanied by Raynaud's, and weak muscles. I was diagnosed w/ Ankylosing Spondilitis many years ago and I also get white/yellow fingers in the cold, and very quickly- doesn't have to be that cold. I also have weak muscles. They change from day to day. Some times I have a hard time getting up out of a low chair and other days I have no problem. My weak muscles can come on very quickly but also sometimes don't last long. Other weakness has been staying longer. My very first symptom came on very quickly too- suddenly my one knee was extremely swollen.
