Guest guest
m you have Pieter DeWet, M,D., in Tyler, Texas who does AP. I traveled to him for years before reaching remission/cure for scleroderma and do recommend him. Not a bad drive as I lived in Dallas for years. Guest guest
, Could you be more specific on the antibiotics that people with AS should take?  Is minocin one them? Guest guest
Hi, Beth: Minocin did not help me very much, but I have my own AP for AS that is very effective. The Minocin I took was not " pelletized " nor made by Lederle. It was in my early testing phase, and I believe that it SHOULD have worked since it does have good efficacy against Klebsiella. I avoid AS flares if I am going to eat something starchy (willfully or even unknowingly) by taking Tanalbit well ahead and tetracycline immediately before (and sometimes after) the offending meal (I'm a total sucker for S. Indian food...sigh!). I can sent to You my AP, if You write to me at the anzaltopo@... address-- HEALTH, > > > > > I have reactive arthritis, which is a very close relative to > ankylosing spondylitis. Guest guest
Hi, monique: Tanalbit might reduce the quantity of Klebsiella pneumoniae and I am not certain of its anti-candidiasis properties, but it would be good to know other natural things used to fight this-- Best Regards, From: Sauve <moniquesauve@...> Subject: rheumatic Re: ankylosing spondylitis and acid reflux rheumatic Date: Tuesday, May 11, 2010, 12:39 PM  hi john is the tanalbit for yeast? do you take it regularly? i saw that tanalbit has casein in it which made me wary. thanks monique Hi, Beth: Minocin did not help me very much, but I have my own AP for AS that is very effective. Guest guest
Cari, Getting off gluten helped greatly for one month, reducing knee pain and swelling. But then the pain and swelling moved into my feet, creating plantar fasciitis (painful feet) and edema (swollen feet). I surmise that a specific food, which I am now consuming in larger quantity, is the cause. I visited Dr. Franco's office in Riverside, CA, for the first time on May 4. As result, an allergy IgE antibody blood test by Geneva Diagnostics Labs is now underway. Guest guest
Harald Did Dr Franco suggest the test or did you? I went to him for several years and never had the IgE test. Guest guest
Cari, I strongly suggested that I be tested for food sensitivity, and Dr. Franco's office prescribed the test. One further input on a gluten-free diet. Wheat products are tasty, and gluten-free products mostly are not. Manufacturers of gluten-free products try to make up by adding lots of salt -- not good. Guest guest
Harald, have you tried Udi's gluten-free bread. It tasts almost like regular bread. It is fluffy and the company states because it is backed in high altitude (Denver) to make it fluffy. They also have some great Blueberry muffins and Lemon-Streusel muffins. That said, you are right a lot of gluten-free things don't tast that great and sometimes I fall of the wagon and have something that has gluten in it. I finally started to cook gluten-free and at least know what is in the food. I mean I cook from scratch. Hope you are feeling better soon. Eva >Harald > >Did Dr Franco suggest the test or did you?
