Guest guest
what really gets me is with the sleepless nites we all have many of them and those of our children with sleep apnea, we have had a couple doctors say they cant give nathan anything to help him sleep because those kinds of meds can cause an apnea person to stop breathing all together, so we are really stuck!! But nathan spends most of the night looking at his books, so its not all bad. shawna. new > >Date: Wed, 20 Jun 2001 10:02:54 -0000 > > > >Hi, my name is Dee, new to this group and this is my first post. Guest guest
Gee, that's unbelievable. I've gotten things in the mail like that but I always figured there was a catch to it. Anything that seems too good to be true usually is. But when someone says they use it or knows someone else that does, it gives you hope. I think I'll check it out. Thanks, Dee M Re: Colleen I'm a firm believer in the fact that most of the time doctor's are just as clueless as the rest of us. Unfortunately most of us want them to know everything because they are the "doctor." At least they are trying something like this & hopefully for all of you it will work out. I've been thinking of him & just kept forgetting to ask! Keep us up to date on how he is doing. Have you heard about Kathy's dad lately? Guest guest
Dee Whatever happened with your son's hockey team? I just came across this email I saved where there was a possiblity that you would be coming to Utica. Intro Just joined the list. Am located in the upper n.w. corner of PA and do a lot of vacationing in NY. Was at Olive Tree Soaps (after vacationing at the Fingerlakes region) and got to meet Kae in person. Great putting faces w/voices!Hope the gathering falls on a date that I have free. And hope it's West of Rochester (closer to me!!). The PA gathering is waaay out East and too far for me to travel in this weather.Started soaping about 5 years ago and needed to sell, so opened a business 4 years ago. One family can only use so much soap and there's always a new recipe/f.o. that I hafta have.I just made a new soap with honey and goatsmilk that turned out fabulous and a new one using Moonlight Path f.o. - LOVE that scent. Also, just got my order from Olive Tree to start stockpiling some Lotion Bars for upcoming craft shows. My products are also showcased at our local Market House. I've sent a link in case anyone wants to take a peak.http://www.visitcrawford.org/hosted/market_house.htmlCarol VatterOur Message Boardhttp://www.voy.com/21568/Check out these great Molds!!http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htmMember Kae's Site... Guest guest
Hi , Well we came in first in our division but we lost the playoffs on Saturday, so we are second in section V. We might still be coming to Utica as an at large bid...they play a team from Section III on Tuesday, if they win, they play another team on Wednesday or Thursday, if we win that we go to Utica. If we lose Tuesday we are done. I will keep you posted. I wanted him to go to college in Utica, new rink, new hockey team but he was not interested in going there. Too bad. Guest guest
Hey, Dee Maybe we should ALL stay over and have a PAJAMA PARTY after the gathering!!! Boy, does that sound like fun, or what???? Oh, Dee. I have a question. I went to the Kreative Klutter site and started to download the email program. I clicked on "Save to disk" but then I wasn't sure where I should "save it to." Do you remember where you saved it to? Does it HAVE to go on C Drive? Re: Gathering info I could too, I'm not too far from . Guest guest
Hi , Did you over get Incredimail worked out. I think all programs have to go on the C drive unless you have your program drive configured or partitioned differently. Mine's under program files in it's own directory. I always do the automatic install. It would be cool to have a pajama party before or after the gathering. My house is becoming presentable as I am decluttering 7 years worth of clutter (the years my transcription business was big.) Let me know if I can help with Incredimail. Guest guest
Dee No, I never downloaded it because I was pretty sure it had to go in C Drive. I'm getting close to running out of room on C Drive so I decided not to download it until I get my new computer. And seeing as I haven't gotten off my butt and called the company that's going to do it, it could be a while yet. I have the URL written down, though. Guest guest
Dee I know of somebody that had their account froze. In fact I'm still waiting to get my money back from her because she was unable to fill the orders she received since she couldn't get to her money. I don't know how true her story is as to why her account got frozen but she did send emails to everyone that purchased from her. Hopefully I'll get my $21.00 bacl/ PayPal ? Guest guest
Yup, equal parts of each except for the oatmeal which is slightly less. Maybe next batch I'll add a touch of T50 for the cocoa butter as an antioxidant....just in case (as Shaye suggested). Re: Need some opinions , these sound great. Sorry I can't help on the shelf life as I haven't made fizzies yet. Are the ingredients equal parts? Dee Need some opinions Hey guys I made a new recipe the other day that I found on the net. They're " Fizzing Bath Kisses " . Below are the ingredients. My question is 'what do you think the shelf life would be on these?' Since there's no water I guess I don't need a preservative. And since there's no carrier oils am I to assume I don't need an antioxidant for rancidity? I did them in candy molds shaped like small peanut butter cups. Then I set them in tiny muffin papers (like for candy) that had valentine hearts on them. After that I wrapped them in saran wrap and secured with a twist-tie. I put (3) to a pack (small clear bags) and put my label on the back. So I'm fairly confident on being air secure. So.....how long do you think these would stay good for? Oh, here's the ingredients: cocoa butter baking soda citric acid powdered whole milk finely ground oatmeal Non-discoloring " Vanilla Cream " F/O Need opinions here guys!! Guest guest
Wow, Dee. I hope those meds work fast. With the weather the way its been this winter, I’m surprised everybody doesn’t have pneumonia. Stay home, stay warm and get better. I hope I wrote all that pricing things “thingy” so a person could understand it OK. It sounds involved when you’re reading it but once you do it a few times, it’s not bad at all. And like I said before.....it pays off in the end when you’re trying to work up prices on your products as far as what the ingredients & containers cost you to make it. But then DON’T FORGET YOUR LABOR AND SOME ADDITIONAL FOR OVERHEAD. Re: pricing products Thanks for this information. I was just trying to do this myself today with all my latest stuff that came in. Need to get really, really organized now. Guess what, I have pneumonia now. Just great. But I'm on a big time antibiotic so I should feel better quickly. Dee Xyron machine I read with interest about this machine and almost went to buy one yesterday. Now I hear there is problems with the labels lifting? Could anyone share before I purchase one? Is there a trick to getting them to stick? Is one machine better than the other? Just why are they lifting? I really don't want to invest in a machine that is going to cause me MORE work. Guest guest
I'm glad you're feeling better. My 14 yr old daughter has been sick since this past weekend. I'm glad they had the week off because she would have missed a lot of school. Can't wait to see more pictures of your shop. Re: quiet today Hi , I'm here. Feeling better from my pneumonia. I've had a lot of typing this week and have been going over to the store to paint. I did go with two shades of purple and light yellow. Sunday, somehow theh alarm went off upstairs and no one could get ahold of her so the sheriff advised us to leave until I could get ahold of her to shut it off, so that messed up that day. Hopefully by the end of the week I should be able to have some updated pics. Dee quiet today Hey all Either I'm not getting my emails from again or nobody's been On-line today. I haven't gotten any posts from our group since this morning. That's unusual. Hey, Shaye. You got into selling SFIC M & P just in time. I got an email from their site today that she's going out of business. I was quite shocked. So you should do as much advertising as you can on lists and see if you can pick up some of her M & P business.
