Guest guest
Listen guys- don't give up on AP so quickly. Without it, I was stuck in bed 24/7 sleeping. I had no energy to enjoy anything. Now, I only suffer on bad-weather days. On other days, I walk three miles a day. I know that AP isn't for everyone, but the extra wrinkles I have are worth it. I bought myself SPF 90 for this summer(Neutrogena, so it's OK for the skin) and I plan on wearing it out into the sun, since I enjoy the outdoors. I also use a lot of moisturizers for the aging stuff. It's still worth having my health and life back. Mona rheumatic dear Kathy Funny how I was just thinking the same thing ! If I'm going to have to choose a drug for this dam disease, at least i'll choose one that doesn't take away my last shred of dignity as well (my appearance). Splotchy and wrinkled - wow, that sounds like fun ! I'll get grilled for this, but I know that AP is not all warm and fuzzy. It can have serious side effects. It's just a matter of weighing up which drugs you want to go with. best, Leonie > > > Well this is encouraging. On top of feeling like crap I get to look forward to premature aging as well. Has anyone else had this problem? I think I am giving up folks and going on the biologics. Everything I have read about AP talks about fewer side effects which is beginning to sound untrue. Guest guest
Mona has a point here and we must remember that everyone with any long lived chronic diseas will look years older than someone who is well.Being sedentry instead of being able to do a lot of exercise is the biggest culprit as one need to really get the heart pumping to send a good supply of blood to nourish the skin.Fast fast walking and some weight lifting for an hour a day would work wonders for the skin.problem is that most people can't and once the collagen breaks down it really can't be rebuilt despite what the cosmetic companies say.The only things that help repair skin are creams with vit. B12,C & E.Hyluronic acid works to strip off old skin cells and some creams with peptides help a bit.Like my sister says.....I have earned my wrinkles. > Listen guys- don't give up on AP so quickly. Guest guest
That sounds a lot better. One ingredient that I have found to work well at getting rid of wrinkles is Retinol. A lot of the products have it-just look in the ingredients. I think regular Retinol and Retinol SA work better than the ProRetinol, so careful on that. But, my skin looks so much better (not 100%, but I'm working on that) since I started using it. Mona rheumatic dear Kathy > > Funny how I was just thinking the same thing ! Guest guest
Mona, are you using it just for your face or other parts like arms? thanks, Judy **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? Guest guest
I have been using the Retinol both on my face and on my hands. I use less-expensive Olay quench-firmness solution for the rest of my body. I find the Olay stuff plumps up the skin well, so it doesn't look wrinkly anymore. Guest guest
sure- a lot of the cosmetic companies use Retinol in their products. Just read the ingredients carefully-you will be amazed at how many different products there are out there, even from the same manufacturers, and not all contain it. A lot of products with other ingredients don't work. I've tried so many.
