Guest guest
Hi Carole, When you were taking HRT was it prescription or bioidentical? I'm thinking it was prescription and yes your problems may have started with it. There is a big difference between prescription and the bioidents. There may have been other things going on with you at that time also. I'm not a doctor so I can't diagnose you or even speculate. I do know hormones did not cause my problems.I did not start them until 5 or so years after I was dxed with RA and fibro. I don't know what the patch is but if it is prescription you should read about what the side effects are. They do not occur on biodents. I never had bloating sorry I can't help there. Hugs, Cooky From: rheumatic [mailto:rheumatic ] On Behalf Of Carole Stein > None of us are the same - I have watched my Vitamin D fall - when I was really sick I was taking 200,000 per month - I am back up there again Doxy is free in Florida - I am taking Doxy - Bioidentical hormones - Lindsey and I have the same Doctor. I am convinced that for me, in my particular situation, it was the inability to get the right balance of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone that led to my illness. I was absolutely positively perfect before. And, I found one article that supported that. I was taking prescription HRT - So my blood work showed that I had no hormones - hello ;-) - All my doctors have been willing to offer them back to me - I am taking prescription HRT again - one natural and the other a patch - I do believe that my estrogen levels are increasing - I absolutely refused to take the bioidentical - so we compromised with the patch - I couldn't stand all the creme and for me, it was awlful so that's my two cents - When does the bloat go away???????\
Guest guest
I am not sure if it's Bioidentical hormones? I dont know exactly what he called it. It is probably the same thing. I do know it was 3 ingredients compounded into this cream. Thank you for sharing your experience.. I hope it is the right ballance. At this point I will try anything. I will know quickly if it is not for me. I am not *absolutely positively perfect *anything and have not been for a very long time, so I am open to trying this. Do you still have that article? Are you paying for your Doxy now? Publix Pharmacy's offer it free. Why are you not taking the Mino? Are you eating gluten, dairy and soy free? That helped my bloat tremendously. I still suffer from the bloat when I eat too many veggies but overall it is so much better since I cut those things out of my diet. Guest guest
Hello. My name is June. Does anyone know anything about the relationship of teeth to RA? Are implants recommended? Crowns, replacement of fillings? Is there a link that would go into this in detail? Many thanks, June On Oct 2, 2010, at 11:57 PM, lindsey munroe wrote: > I am not sure if it's Bioidentical hormones? Guest guest
I don't know, but I heard or read somewhere that bacteria likes to hide in teeth and can lead to rheumatic heart or rheumatic fever when it gets into the circulation. This is true especially of Strep.  I also heard that metal in the mouth in not a good thing. So, to be playing it safe, I had all metal removed from my mouth and had porcelain put in it's place. The antibiotics protects my heart and weakens the bacteria. Then my healing immune system can kill them off.   I don't know anything about hormones. I am 75 and somehow I managed to get through the insanity of menopause. I did take HRT pills & patch for years before they said they were harmful to the body.  I eventually was able to wean myself off and then when I thought I was home free, I get scleroderma. What a life! If it isn't one thing, it is another. Dolores > >> >> >> >>> >> None of us are the same - >> I have watched my Vitamin D fall - when I was really sick I was >> taking >> 200,000 per month - I am back up there again >> >> Doxy is free in Florida - I am taking Doxy - >> >> Bioidentical hormones - Lindsey and I have the same Doctor. Guest guest
I agree about bacteria and teeth. I have dental issues some due to genetic family history and some the disease process with RA and loss of bone. I am looking at having to have most of my teeth pulled and wear dentures./ bridge. Hopefully some day implants. I somehow think that when all these rotten teeth are out of my head I will experience tremendous healing within my immune system, joints and circulation and have less likely hood of clotting or stroke It is all connected. Specially doing I dread this. Gosh, I never thought Id be here and without teeth too. I am 46 and will try this cream to help improve the quality of my life. I agree regarding a huge connection between bacteria and teeth. I have horrible dental issues some due to genetic family history and some the disease process with RA and loss of bone. I somehow think that when all these rotten teeth are out of my head I will experience tremendous healing within my immune system, joints and circulation and have less likely hood of clotting or stroke. It is all connected. Also helping the AP do it's thing to kill the root of all this. I dread seeing the dentist next. I never thought Id be without my natural teeth. Guest guest
You are welcome June. I am sure you will get some very good answers from those with experience from this group. I have been on LDN for a month+ 4.5mg. I am a beginner to Mino. My doctor wanted me to start one thing at a time. I begin Mino this week 100mg a day. If I experience the herx my doctor advised me to hold off for a day or so then resume again same dosage. We should come back in our next life first healthy and as oral surgeons! lol.... Yes, it is very expensive. On Tue, Oct 5, 2010 at 10:36 AM, june avignone <j.avignone@...>wrote: > > > Thanks, Lindsey. It is known that glands - and those nclude those, take a hit with immune diseases. I would not go off my bioidentical hormones. Never did the patch. I did not hear a lot of positive things about it. The troche is so simple. As for teeth, first thing I did was get rid of the metals in my mouth. If your dentist knows you have SD, he will probably put you on a dose of clindamycin to fight off the bacteria he will be stirring up. That is the way it is for me with simple cleaning, fillings, anything. Still going strong and no sign of scleroderma now at year six. Re: rheumatic vitamin d - doxy - and bioidentical hormones I agree about bacteria and teeth. I have dental issues some due to genetic amily history and some the disease process with RA and loss of bone. I am ooking at having to have most of my teeth pulled and wear dentures./ ridge. Hopefully some day implants. I somehow think that when all these otten teeth are out of my head I will experience tremendous healing within y immune system, joints and circulation and have less likely hood of lotting or stroke It is all connected. Specially doing I dread this. osh, I never thought Id be here and without teeth too. am 46 and will try this cream to help improve the quality of my life. I agree regarding a huge connection between bacteria and teeth. I have orrible dental issues some due to genetic family history and some the isease process with RA and loss of bone. I am looking at having to have ost of my teeth pulled and wear dentures./ bridge. Hopefully some day mplants. I somehow think that when all these rotten teeth are out of my ead I will experience tremendous healing within my immune system, joints nd circulation and have less likely hood of clotting or stroke. It is all onnected. Also helping the AP do it's thing to kill the root of all this. dread seeing the dentist next. I never thought Id be without my natural eeth. Yikes. http://www.icnr.com/cs/cs_23.html had some good information. I am 46 and will try this cream to help improve the quality of my life. What journey. Guest guest
Hi . I've been feverishly reading everything on bioidentical hormone therapy trying to get to that comfortable place to begin. I suppose I will just jump in. Regarding the dental .....I typically have been given Keflex for infections of the mouth. I have RA and other related AI issues but not SD. What a fantastic testimonial. Thank you for the good news! Guest guest
years ago, as prevention (??) I had my fillings replaced, I think 4. I did have also a root canal done about 30 years ago, but did not to anything with the root canal. Makes me wonder............sally Re: rheumatic vitamin d - doxy - and bioidentical hormones I don't know, but I heard or read somewhere that bacteria likes to hide in teeth and can lead to rheumatic heart or rheumatic fever when it gets into the circulation.
